  1. I am editing the player attributes on my own and basically I am making sure that no players have stats higher or lower in each category than anyone in the original game. I also believe in making kickers and punters slower, so I am sticking to that trend. To come up with the players stats (to figure out what attributes they get), correct depth charts and more I am using the following rescources: * 2003 Athlon College Football Preview Magazine * Nationalchamps.net's 2002 and 2003 previews as well as All American lists * CNNSI.com's NCAA 2002 Rosters Nationalchamps.net is a huge help in determining the lineups. If you go to the site and visit a team preview, you will see they highlight returning starters. Now if you go to the same teams preview from the year before, you will notice some of the starters are not the same. It is so hard to determine what players will start all the way so I use these two to get who plays where. I also check the players stats and if they were selected in any of the first three All American teams for 2002 and 2003 the Athlon magazine gives me more in depth scouting reports on each player. giving me an idea of what kind of player they are (finesse vs power? etc.). I have been working non-stop on this since I got my hands on the game and I hope to be done soon.
  2. Wow, first Tecmo Super Bowl Ultra is unveiled and now this rom edit! If anyone has not downloaded this game yet, get it now! The work that has gone into this tops the 1998 version and has to be up there with the top edited tecmo roms ever.
  3. If I remember correctly you get the "..." when you save the edited rom with TSB Manager 2000. Just re-open the rom after saving it with TSB Manager 2000 with the original TSB Manager, save it and then the "..."'s will be gone.
  4. I have re-edited my site and re-did the links to the .ips patches on my site. I heard some people were having problems with them. If anyone has any problems still, please let me know, thanks!
  5. Rod coming to the rescue yet again! Great job bro!
  6. The address was http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejgoeckensprint0/emu.html, but if you go to it now the site is down. Looks like JG has packed up and left the Tecmo community. Too bad, he did some amazing work.
  7. Rod, all that happened was Nintendo of America contacted my webhost and had my site taken down because I had SNES and NES roms on my site. I learned my lesson and will only put up .ips patches. Bummer but oh well!
  8. I had my last Tecmo site shut down so my new site is at sblueman.com. I have no roms, just .ips patches to put on the games. All my custom games will be back up and I will have more features on the way.
  9. Hey bro! Thanks for the link! I'll add you to my site immediatly!
  10. I have resigned myself to the fact that even if they do come out with a new version of Tecmo, it will not capture the magic of the NES version. So I'll just keep playing on my PC and hoping someday we can find a way to make our own version.
  11. I'd love a copy man! More games are more gooder I say (Opie and Anthony fans will get the reference!)
  12. ok bumping this up...this is some good shit!
  13. JG might be the person to talk to. He made a great graphics hack for last year that included the Texans and Titans. I used his hack to use in my 2002 NFL game. Here is a link to his site: http://home.earthlink.net/%7Ejgoeckensprint0/emu.html
  14. I am trying to put together some historical roms and eventually I will run into the NFL's schedule differences before 1990 when there was no bye week, 1987 where they only played 15 games, 1982 where only 8 games were played and 1977 and 1976 when there were only 14 games in a season. Is it possible to edit the schedule so there are only 16 weeks with no byes, 15 games with no byes, 8 weeks with no byes and 14 weeks with no byes? Any help would be appreciated!
  15. I have released the 3rd historical rom on my site for the NES. This one is for the 1993 season. Feel free to visit my sitem download the game and enjoy! There are also other roms available on the site that are Tecmo related as well as many SNES and NES games that are my all time favorites. Feel free to snoop around the site and sign the guestbook to let me know what you think! Here is the address: http://www.tecmosuperbowl.net/
  16. I usually just designate one player to be both the KR and PR. To get the correct return men the way i set it up all one has to do is reset the rosters. I have found no way possible to edit the KR and PR duties between two players without the editor bouncing the #1 RB to either/or spots.
  17. I recommend the Microsoft 6-button Sidewinder. Good controls and you can play NES, SNES, Genesis and other PC games with ease.
  18. one of my ex girlfriends used to love to play Tecmo with me....then we broke up and she hates Tecmo now.....oh well....dumb cunt....
  19. Yeah....but if the NES version had those features AND the same simple, addictive and easy to pick up gameplay........Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES would be hands down the best game ever!
  20. I'd love to be able to track a players game and up to date season stats during a game.
  21. It was the only way to get Trent Green to pass over 3,000 yards a season.
  22. What the slower kicker forces me to do is be more strategic and play the angles more instead of attacking the carrier. I just finished editing the names so they are correct. As for the schedule, that has been fixed and available at my site http://www.tecmosuperbowl.net/ Sorry for all the minor glitches (spelling, schedule) I tried to get the game beta tested but no one I sent the game to got back to me with any comments or concerns. I missed some things myself, but I guess another set of eyes is always better. Thanks for the heads up on the glitches everyone.
