  1. Meh, you can read the whole article here... http://blogs.sites.post-gazette.com/index.php/sports/blog-n-gold/35638-barry-sanders but here's the only important part:
  2. apologies... it was randy fuller who played with the steelers. im not even sure where i got del rio on the niners from... hmm. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  3. so what I want to do is to create roster lists for some of my favorite teams using all available players... with the only catch is, those players must have been drafted by, or played at least 1 down in a season or pre-season game for that team. essentially, this is the best possible roster for those teams. beginning with my home team -> this is the best possible roster for the steelers. I will list only changes (and where to get that player), not the complete roster. bubby brister -> jets barry foster -> car jerome bettis -> rams jeff graham -> chi terance mathis -> atl dwight stone -> car eric greene -> mia adrian cooper -> min duval love -> ari will woolford -> ind wayne gandy -> rams nolan harrison -> rai donald evans -> jets hardy nickerson -> tb jb brown -> mia donnell woolford -> chi dwayne washington -> min tomas everitt -> tb chris gardocki -> ind matt bahr -> NE other players not used: rick strom -> buf tim lester -> rams lee thompson -> kc c davenport -> jax chris calloway -> gia courtney hawkins -> tb keith cash -> kc lyons -> atl tim mckyer -> car corey fuller -> min bo orlando -> sd then I did my favorite 49ers. steve bono->kc marc logan -> was watters -> phi garner -> phi rathman -> rai sherrard -> gia guy mcintyre -> hou holt -> atl doleman -> atl haley -> dal buckner -> pit greene -> pit romanosky -> phi del rio -> min d sanders -> fa rod woodson -> pit antonio langham -> cle lott -> kc matt bahr -> NE other SF unused players: dexter carter -> jets no g hurst -> ari no ed mccaffrey -> den j morton -> det boatswanye -> car ted washington -> buf don griffin -> cle mcmillian -> phi tim mckyer -> car finally I did some dallas work: s walsh -> chi harper -> tb martin -> phi stepnosky -> hou gogan -> raiders gesek -> wash jeffcoat -> buf jesse solomon -> mia del rio -> min j washington -> was d sanders -> fa tomas everitt -> tb Wonder if anyone had any othe rplayers I missed, or possibly wanted to add some other teams to this list... buffalo, houston, and Ny Giants should be easy to do... some others more complicated. 4. I havent seen anything which indicates this is anything more than a DS game... other than gamespot speculation... I have never seen anything pointing to a Wii tecmobowl
  5. I know im pretty scarce around here... but i had to pop in and share this which i saw today.
  6. If you visit the forums without logging in.... 1 of 2 things happens. a)If your lucky, you can read posted messages...however all the post & reply buttongs say "You have been banned"... Not sure if this is designed behavior or not. Previously, hitting the reply button would take you to a screen where you would type in your password to get to the posting screen. b)If your unlucky you get.... Could not query information DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax near '' at line 3 SELECT f.forum_id, f.forum_enter_limit, u.user_posts FROM phpbb_forums f, phpbb_users u WHERE user_id = Line : 484 File : /var/www/html/phpBB2/viewforum.php and you cant read messages at all until you log in.
  7. Not claiming that it was. But at the same time it has plenty a vurnerabilities that can be exploited to render your forums just as dead or even worse than happened with the apache flaw. For example, they can use a flaw in PHPBB 2.0.10 (and lower) to overwrite every entry in the database. Erasing every userid, password, & post...and replacing it with any string of their own desiring. IE... Every message, User & password were overwritten with... Gathering Forums----------------Ha(ked by NoPWD Just dont want you to come under further problems. Disclaimer: I am not a hacker, or affiliated in any way with any security exploit group. A link to the exploit itself can be found on NoPWD's site. http://nopwd.org/mod.php?tp=nopwd&id=disclaimer Found this when gathering's site was hacked.
  8. After that last incident... I think that would be a good idea.
  9. Hey, you might want to consider upgrading the forums to PHPBB 2.0.11, a number of security flaws have been identified since 2.0.4, which could allow an attacker to take control of your forums. This indeed has just happened to the folks over at http://www.gathering.com who host a forum for Railroad Tycoon series of games.
  10. I am still around...though i am forced to agree.... there are only so many things you can say or talk about tecmo to hold lots of interest. <--- you can tell... I was one of the first few to join top 30 out of almost 700.... but i have probly the fewest posts of anyone on this board. I dun got rid of my NES (Dammit I miss zelda & rbi baseball), SNES, Emulators, & broke down and tried Madden 04 and i liked it some. Considering Madden 05. But now i spend most of my time with (my wife) and playing Command & Conquer Yuri's revenge, and posting messages @ http://www.anandtech.com computer hardware discussion boards, and trying to make linux run on my old computer.
  11. Original Tecmobowl listed on Gamespot as being one of the greatest games of all time. http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/featur ... /p-13.html
  12. I generally used to use the most talented player in the roster. But after watching much tecmo film, I have been able to find a position player or 2 in the front 7, which is key to stopping the play. Every play has a weakness, an unblocked person, a weaker o-lineman, a gap which if filled will make it severly difficult to gain positive yardage. Identifying the fastest player who can fill that gap without getting blocked sometimes is more key than choosing just the flat out fastest player on the field. If you know the entire opposing playbook, just noticing formation, or motion, can key you off to what the play is or isnt and where you need to get to. Rarely do I play the secondary unless I am in prevent mode (clock control) and just trying to not give up the big play.
  13. I just saw this item passed by the us copyright office... Quote from : http://www.copyright.gov/1201/ On October 28, 2003, the Librarian of Congress, on the recommendation of the Register of Copyrights, announced the classes of works subject to the exemption from the prohibition against circumvention of technological measures that control access to copyrighted works. The four classes of works exempted are: 1 of the 4 new exemptions to the DMCA... Computer programs and video games distributed in formats that have become obsolete and which require the original media or hardware as a condition of access. A format shall be considered obsolete if the machine or system necessary to render perceptible a work stored in that format is no longer manufactured or is no longer reasonably available in the commercial marketplace Wow, thoughts plz???
