Holy crap... Eric O'Dell. That's old school Tecmo, son.

Way back in the early days of Madden for the PC (2000 or 2001) they had a playbook editor. I actually created a set of playbooks with all the tecmo plays in them and then re-rostered the whole thing using Tecmo attributes. I posted the file online but it recieved very few downloads. At any rate, it was interesting to play. Some plays played exactly the way they did in TSB for the NES, some... not so much. The Bavaro Curl play for instance wasn't money in the bank. Pro T Flare D however was almost the exact same. You could stick the tight end no matter what. Was kind of fun... wish I still had the files.

Interesting how it says 'the tecmo times' at the top. My screen name actually comes from my constant playing of tecmo with a buddy from work long before I discovered online leagues. I referred to it as 'getting in some tecmo times'.

I got a motoQ yesterday and after a littler digging, I found a kickass emulator for it called PocketNES. It runs at full speed with sound at 320x240 on my Q, and works with just about any WinCE/Windows Mobile smartphone. Check it out: The d-pad on the q does diagonals too. Cool huh? If any of you need to know where to get a good copy of this (the one on sourceforge blows) hit me up!

OMFG! I haven't posted here in ages but had to log in just to say how FUCKING HILARIOUS that is! The part where the guy playing kieth jackson zig-zags is PRICELESS!

"These graphics look like they were made by a 12-years old boy" Even moreso, the humor is something like a 12 year old boy would make up when he's trying too hard. The dead giveaway is him starting a comedy site about dressing like Little John and calling it 'crazy crap' Only kids use expressions like 'crazy crap'

Why he's the only person on the game I can return a pick for a TD with (besides flukes every now and then) is beyond me...I mean, I know why (his amazing stats)...but WHY Lonnie Young? It's pretty obvious. He's a fluke. Notice that he's got the RP of every offensive player. There are a few other 69 value stat flukes in the game (Bob Nelson of GB, Doug Widell of Denver). I think this is just a case where tecmo accidentally put in 69 RP for a D player, just like they did with Bob Nelson. If it had been a value of anything other than 69, and in any other slot, I'd be asking the same question.

Don't forget swapping in Jensen at WR, with his leet 69 Receptions.

To give a team that 'one player' they need to dominate: Jim Harbaugh for Randall Cunningham. The bears would be nothing short of scary with eagles back there. However, I'd be even more scared of the niners if you Swapped out Randall and Steve Young or even traded Dex Carter for Barry. In fact, get rid of Jay Schroeder and give them Moon, and the Raiders aren't half bad either.

Which one? Having played both recently I'm partial to genesis using GENS... which also supports kaillera netplay.. sweet

Heh, and neither would anyone want a game that was a Tecmo rehash of Madden.
