None. Everything is made through the spreadsheet. Prestige is going to be set at 15 for every player but it really won't matter anyways. I don't believe it effects anything other than how much money you make in 1 player games. But just in case I'm setting it at 15 for every player.
Four guys, we drew teams out of a hat. The seedings were based on Tecmobowl-vs-rbi.com's team rankings. Our real names actually do start with A, B, C and D; pretty convenient!
Player A - Denver, Cleveland, San Francisco
Player B - Indianapolis, Washington, Los Angeles
Player C - Miami, Seattle, New York
Player D - Dallas, Minnesota, Chicago
I don't have the scores for this event, but there were some good games. In the event of one guys' two teams playing each other, we just have them pick one to move on. That's what happened on the right side of the bracket, deciding who would face New York. I told Player C that the Giants were the likely best on the game, and they rode "Best in the league, best in the nation!" all the way to the title game where they downed the scrappy Washington Redskins.
Player A went 1-3
Player B went 5-2 and took 3 teams to their respective conference championship
Player C went 3-2 and won the Tecmo title
Player D went 1-3
Despite not winning the whole deal Player B had the best performance I believe. Taking two teams to the conference champ games in the Right Bracket is really impressive, but both teams would likely get killed by New York in the Tecmo Bowl. He really wasn't a fan of either team vs. Lawrence Taylor.
The tournament was really fun and we got it done in a single evening!
i am ready... i have studied the north dakota laws and put my lawyer on retainer... i watched every season of Fargo to get a sense for the people and the wildlife... i have hunted, trapped, skinned, and tanned several animals over the past year to create the gear i need to survive the winter, if necessary... i have stared into the eyes of a rabid raccoon for an uncomfortably long time... in short, i remain 1000% battle-ready for this event, and resolutely await the day a carrier pigeon flies thru my window with the gps coordinates.
I couldn't tell if this was discovered before, but I was able to figure out how to fully extract season stats from a save state file created with VirtuaNES! I don't think VirtuaNES is the most popular emulator out there, but it was the easiest one to dissect the save states.
Here's what I found, and I created a very rudimentary spreadsheet to help extract all the stats (I'm not a programmer, I did my best. By all means, somebody take the info and do a better job than me!)
The way they store this info is convoluted as hell, so hopefully it's understandable. I included example bytes in my descriptions below.
A few concepts:
They often split up a two-digit byte into two different values, so that the left digit has one 0-F value for say TDs, and the right digit has a 0-F value for Attempts. So as I try to describe below, I call the left digit (x) and the right digit (y).
