  1. There's no Kyle R., Derek L., or Randy F.? Is Boogie with Stu signed up?
  2. I can take charge of the live-streaming, if you like. This also gets me thinking about how we can start a PNW Tecmo Consortium of sorts, wherein the members divy up the duties like tourney organization, promotion, technology (splitting/streaming), hardware, etc. (off the top of my head). In my experience, getting all of these things together is one thing, and a lot of work... but then having to manage them all during a tournament, while you're playing and wanting to win, is even more draining and distracting. I also have a few TVs, but my systems and controllers are low at the moment. Message me Ted if you want to talk further. I'd also like to pursue this Consortium thing a but further with Ted and Kamp or anyone else that's interested.
  3. 1. GB: easy call, better man-defenders (Bob and Harris), RB, WR. CLE's D is pure turrible. 2. PHX: pretty close, not certain in my mind on this one, but would rather control Safeties than DB1, and PHX LB1 could potentially popcorn the ATL OL4. 3. TOSS-UP: Depends on how the strengths/weaknesses of the other player and myself matchup. I've preferred MIN in the past though. 4. SEA: achilles heel for me, got to go with the Hawks, even though Lippett is a good play versus Krieg, even at DB2. NE if I was objective. 5. TOSS-UP: Depends on how the strengths/weaknesses of the other player and myself matchup, but I think I would likely prefer HOU because of the 50 RP LB4 and RJ's 75 INT. Tough call tho.
  4. I'm out of positive votes for the day, so YES, YES, my mistake, herbs, and YES.
  5. Hahaha, I'm halfway between Seattle and Portland, so don't get me started on all you city-slickers and ya big britches...... but all I gotta say is, if Portlanders really are better drivers, it's because they have to be............ Seattle streets are laid out logically, like they was planned........ but Portland, damn, not even the worst acid freak in the world could of planned that crazy concoction of one-way, two-way, three-way, streets, all splashed out onto the landscape at crazy angles to each other........ or maybe that's just how I remember it since I'm usually trying to navigate them after a concert at the Rose Garden or somewhere else.
  6. T-KING, show me how to use JJ at the Seattle tourney, and I'll show you how to get JJ on the Raiders, or the Seahawks, or any other team dig.
  7. Alright, Tailback, so I put those plays in, and then, just to control my variables, I ran it with Johnny every single play in a league game tonight. And you know what, I got to say, as the game wore on I started to feel a little bit of magic buzzing in my fingertips, a little je ne sais pas, if you will, hard to describe. You might be on to something here brother, I dunno, I'm gonna have to replicate these results a few times, but here's my boxscore:
  8. Yeah man I'll be at Seattle tourney, you better give me the Johnny Johnson tutorial so I can lay the wood down, and yeah in our league (not a tourney) we play in Season mode, so he can get hurt, and actually in 2 games so far in both he's been BAD condition at least half the game.............. boo hoo, Johnny, boo hoo. I'll have to try those plays and see if it unlocks the magic.
  9. First game I played in HSTL a few days ago, first carry to Johnny Johnson............ damn FUMBLE, returned for a defensive touchdown. Thanks, Johnny. Then, in the 3rd quarter: INJURED. Thanks, Johnny. Johnny Hector more than capably carried the load after that, but it was too little too late. So what's the secret to unlocking the Super Johnny? I want to believe, brother, I really do.
  10. I also forwarded this to the e-mail list I have from the last PNWTC, about 19 people.
  11. lol, okay, BUT..... I'm leaning more toward calling a PHX/SEA matchup, just so Chris "Kross" Warren can toast Johnny's jock on the postgame stats screen, WOOOORD!
  12. Just curious, if I called a CHI/PHX matchup at the PNWTC, you would choose PHX?
  13. I've messaged Another Castle a few times, even called and left my number, but never heard back. I've been hearing for at least a year now they plan to hold more tournaments..... hope so, if you hear of any let us know please, thanks brother.
  14. yeah bro, always down for some street tecmo! I live 90 mins south of seattle, but I'm always willing to travel for cash games... to cover my gas, dig! I'm putting on the PNW championship in late June in my hometown..... was going to do one last December but had to bag it cuz I got mad busy. If you or anyone else wants to do anything here in the PNW let me know, I got the mailing list to get it started.... mail me at my username at aim.
  15. tailback king, dude, i apologize to you first and foremost for me crapping out on this december, you got the tecmo steez, love it..... but when shit gets hot, tecmo gets the drop in my life.... but what i realize now is just the online tecmo needs the axe.... 2 much going on my way to get up a dec. tourney, but i'm in it to win it for the june tourney, PNWTC2, I got that one, word on it. go hawks
  16. Well........ I sincerely apologize for fucking with everyone, but a whole lot has come up and I won't be able to run this tournament, or participate at all. I hope someone else can pick up the pieces and make this thing go, unfortunately I will not. Great meeting you guys last June though, that was great...... if someone wants to, feel free to take over the PNWTC. Let me know if you need anything, kamp has my number. Adios.
  17. This tournament is in downtown Centralia, so travel by train is possible, this locale is just a few blocks from the station. There's also a few hotels downtown.... including The Olympic Club, which is a McMenamin's owned bar/restaurant/hotel thing. You can google for that or just e-mail or message me (username at aim) if you want more information on that sort of thing.
  18. Thanks for the feedback UltimateWeapon, but I think a lot of us want to use the range of tecmo players and teams, so more likely we go with the Kumite or Boneyard models, or some hybrid thereof. Well, today I traveled all around the cities of Centralia and Chehalis scouting for a venue, which turned out to be a great excuse for bar-hopping.......................... ......................... along the way I managed to pick up another TSB cartridge and some controllers for cheap at a crazy flea market I never knew about...... and of course saved my best potential spot for last, a place called O'Blarney's...... it passed the first test: the bartenders and manager not only knew what Tecmo meant, but had fond memories of rushing for 360 yards with Barry Sanders in one game, etc........ also a good place in that it has wifi for streaming, a bank of televisions we can split our tube TVs to (it's a sports bar), and plenty of room not only for this year's event, but for future expansion as well (hopefully). So okay...... I told the manager, if I don't get 16 people, I'm not even going to waste his time...... so I need 16 sign-ups, let's go, get them in, next few weeks. If you got any questions or comments, let me know. I'll update the first post with sign-ups as I receive them. Mahalo.
  19. Does anyone have any creative ideas for the format of this tournament? Just reading around, The Boneyard Bowl tournament set-up sounds interesting... also the Tecmo Kumite in Detroit. They are not your traditional pool play / bracket tournaments, and I was thinking of doing something different for the Winter Classic. Check them out and give me feedback if you like, or any new ideas. Or any ideas about anything at all for this tournament would be much appreciated, it's not my baby it's for the PNW, so get at me here or my e-mail which is my username at aim.
  20. Registration is open! See updated information in first post. I also sent out an e-mail to the PNW mailing list, I'm not sure if you were on there Tailback King, but just e-mail me to register and I'll get you on there. I will update with more information, including a flyer, within the next week or so. Also, an exciting development... PNW IT guy Kyle (Invaderstar) and I are in the process of putting together the necessary wizardry to stream this event live over the internet, possibly up to 4 of the tv stations (4 different twitch channels basically).
  21. DL1 is good for some run plays... I use my man at LB2 for a few reasons... TecSpectre, I recommend you play the computer in man vs. coach..... then pick a certain play for the CPU, such as R&S RUN3..... then save a state before the play starts..... then pick a defender and try to stop the play and see who blocks him, etc., just experiment with each player, over and over, see what happens..... also pick different plays on defense, because that will change how blockers and defenders react....... you save a state so that you can then just press your load state button (I program the select button for this on my original controller) after each play and then you are ready to go...... do work! It's the only way to know for sure, and it's knowledge that is best earned than received, to be honest. Also, in order to save states of plays like that I think you need the original NEStopia, not what is now known as Brutopia.... I think, I haven't done this in awhile.
  22. Yeah, just decided to throw it together after not hearing back from another place that's been teasing a bit about having one, but nothing going...... sorry for the late notice, I also planned on e-mailing everyone on the PNW mailing list, which I believe includes you Tailback King, but just barely have enough time in my life to put this thing together as is........ but I will do so ASAP.
