  1. Shit.....if Flo doesn’t go for it on 4th down and go up two scores in the 4th he wins. Im just salty that I fumbled setting up a FG with Morten Anderson with 20 seconds left and lost to Flo in OT keeping me out of the 1 seed.
  2. I will have everything set up on Friday during the day. I will not be able to get there on Friday night until after 8pm. Feel free to play before I get there, but I want those who get there before me contact me first.
  3. Here it is guys. Been traveling for work and I haven't been able to do the usual push for registrations. Dave and Rico have offered to help. I should be able to crank it back up in two weeks. We have 20+ confirmed and I really like to have 40 or more like we've had. Don't take lack of responses on here from me as something of putting on a halfass tourney.
  4. Tecmo Milwaukee Presents: Who's Next? Date: 11/4 Location: Boomers Sports Bar and Grill (Pewaukee, WI) Player field projected at 48 players. Max players cutoff will be at 64 players.Round robin of Division play followed by single elimination tournament. Projected Entry Fee is $40Game Rules: Tecmo Milwaukee rules/ Tecmo Madison rules1) Teams will be tiered in 4 groups of 7 teams. 7 Lotto balls will be picked from before each game to determine which tier teams will be picked from. (1 in 7 chance for Tier 1 teams to be picked). 2) Coin toss winner picks Lotto Ball. Coin Toss Loser picks matchup. Coin toss Winner picks Team or Controller. (Player can only choose a team 1 time during round robin play. Teams resets in tournament play.)3) Customizing Playbooks and Lineup Changes: Customizing playbooks is permissible. You can access your “change” screen (screen where you check player conditions and make substitutions) only twice per half. This helps speed up the games. 4) WR/TE at RB: A WR/TE cannot carry the football unless it is a reverse. You can insert a WR or TE into a RB slot for lead blocking purposes, but he cannot carry the football. To further clarify, players such as Ernest Givins, Ricky Sanders, Mel Gray, Keith Jackson and Andre Rison cannot carry the football unless it is a reverse. 5) No Ties/Overtime: No game can end in a tie. If a game is tied when regulation concludes, competitors will proceed to OT. If no one scores in the first OT, a new game will begin and the first competitor to score will be declared the winner. So that one competitor does not start with the ball in each OT period, the kicking team in the first OT will be the receiving team in the new game (i.e. the second OT). 6) Lurching: Lurching is prohibited. If you want to rush with a DL, you must either go outside the offensive tackle or “popcorn” someone on the offensive line. Note that this rule does not apply to LBs. 7) Nintendo Malfunctions: If there is an equipment failure in the first half, games will be replayed from the start. If equipment malfunctions in the 2nd half, only the second half is replayed. In that event, the scores from each half are added together to obtain a final score. If the game was uncompetitive or the equipment malfunctioned due to human error, the tourney organizers reserve the right to declare a winner without replaying any portion of the game. Tournament Disputes: Rico, Coconuts, Troy and myself. 9) Controllers: Tournament competitors are not allowed to bring their own controller to use in games unless approved prior to tournament. Tournament organizers will coordinate obtaining equipment for the competition. Entry Deadline is 11/1 Email address: [email protected] Top 8 places paid out. Each tournament has been a huge success fielding a very competitive playing field coming from all parts of the country. The venue is fantastic with great service, food and of course Adult Solutions. 14. Great time. Congrats to Rico. Upsets everywhere with everyone getting plenty of games in. I will get results up soon.
  15. Definitely interested. Need to check my softball tourney schedule. I talk to you this weekend about it.
  16. Spots are filling up quickly. We now have 40 players registered with many interested and looking to clear schedules. Please let me know if you have any questions.
  17. Super Duper, sounds good looking forward to it. Send me your contact info to [email protected] I'll send you information.
  18. Great to hear. Would you like for me to send you hotel information? Email me at [email protected] I can help you out.
  19. Thanks for the questions. Noonan, currently today (40 days out from tourney) we stand at 26 confirmed entrants and 20 individuals who have contacted me stating they most likely will be playing but checking their schedules. We have a number of invites (300+) yet to send out to the Tecmo Community based on individuals giving us their email addresses for future tournaments. These will be sent out this week. Assuming we have the 64 players committed we will have 8 divisions of 8 players. Playing a true round robin. The top 4 from each division will move to a single elimination tournament. Point differential will determine seeding for winners of each division with same record and seeds there after. We will have 16+ stations (targeting 20) to fire through the round robin. Once all 64 players have been identified I have a group selected that will help in pairing up the divisions to be sure they are balanced with talent. We will have contingency plans should we have to field of 48. We are working setting up streaming the tournament as well. As for the Tiers of Teams. 28 teams rolled into 4 Tiers of 7 teams. There will be 7 lotto balls that will be picked from before each game to determine what Tier the teams will be picked from. There will be only 1 ball of the 7 that will be Tier 1 teams. The remaining 6 will be 2 balls of each number from Tier 2-4. Once the Tier has been named, coin flip ensues with Winner of coin flip picking Teams with opponent selecting there team or controller. (Received positive feedback based on this). This will speed up Team selection and perhaps spark some new selections to be called. Once a player picks a matchup during the Round Robin, they can't call the same matchup again during round robin. ie Dolphins VS Chargers can't be called by the same player. Regulator: we will be sure to update the number of entries for those of you who have to travel. I do have hotel information available if you would like for me to send it I can. If you are wondering who the individuals are that are confirmed. Of the 26 so far 20 of them have played in multiple tournaments with success in Madison, Tundra, Cincy and others. So it's a veteran group who have tournament experience. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you are on Facebook send me a friend request to Tecmo Milwaukee. I have been giving updates on there as well. This site is firewalled for me at work while Facebook is not.
  20. Appreciate the support and look forward to seeing you on 4/23.
