I have two options as far as how names will be displayed in a... project.
We have traditional Griffey-sytle with First initial-Last name, or mixed style of Full Names and First initial-Last name.
Which looks better? Completeness, or consistency?

Piggybacking off of this, an update of a nine-year old project is dropping tomorrow.
 
Clue: It's a fix of an error that's been haunting Tecmo NBA games for the last nine years, and is considered to be the greatest update of Tecmo NBA of all time!

I released this game back in 2015, however this time around, it is without the dreaded "12th man super-scorer" glitch. Nine years after its initial release, this has been fixed.
 
As of today, this the first (and only) college basketball game on the NES (until I put out a follow-up in the next year or two).
 
All the team logos, uniforms, and courts have been modified to reflect their college counterparts. SimData has been modified to reflect typical college basketball scores (Scores of 75-70 are the norm). There are 27 teams in this ROM. The team selection was partially based on what teams were hot in 2015, and historical significance (see attached screenshot). This provides for effortless future updates.  
For the sake of realness, it is HIGHLY advised you play a season with a SHORT schedule (26 games). This closest reflects a regular season of college basketball.
 
This ROM is the best of its kind. You would be a fool NOT to add it to your collection.

Something cool happened this week!
 
This is the ROM update I started at the end of last season that I just now finished. While the roster are a year old, this is still the (in my humble opinion) the best version of this game available. I've been busy saving the world with, you know, space lasers!
 
I didn't update any of the logos (aside from the ones I did in the previous version). Maybe next season.
 
I've seen a lot of versions of this game released over the last couple years and they all have the same issue: The scoring leaders are always the backup center, averaging 100+ points per game. This is not an issue in this ROM.
 
Also, the season simdata has been updated for this season, so the level of success a team experienced during the 2022-23 season is reflected in this ROM. Now, this doesn't mean that a team won't over-play their simdata. It happens.
 
The last season I updated this ROM was... four years ago in 2019?  So with that, see you after the 2027 season.

All rosters are accurate as of the first month of the MLB season. Originally the rosters were based loosely on the Opening Day rosters, but a few notable moves were made and reflected in this ROM (Aaron Hicks to BAL, the emergence of Elly de la Cruz, etc.)
 
The HR Derby, as it has been the last few seasons, had real MLB players and not the fictional jobbers of the original game.
 
In keeping with 30 years of tradition, Tampa and Arizona get the middle finger and do not make appearances. (They do show up in my Griffey Winning Run ROM, fully unlocked, coming soon).
 
I would say "If you notice any errors on my part, please let me know", but I won't. This game is absolute perfection!
 
This game was released after the first month of the season to my Patreon subscribers. This week I am uploading it to my website, BaronGaming.weebly.com. You will be able to find this, and the rest of my collection.

I love it. I just struggle with hitting. I've managed to win one game so I hanging in there.

It is a very good game. I am particularly fond of the deep stat tracking. I've started and stopped many times in creating an updated version of this game. I have one from the end of Aaron Judge's season of 62 HR last year. I'll likely finish it, regardless of how many seasons pass in the mean time.

The cheap cash-grabs came in 2014 and died off in 2021.  Now it's time for the return of REAL R.B.I. Baseball!
 
All 30 teams are represented in this ROM with statistics reflecting the end of the 2022 MLB season. Enjoy!

Will the Steelers have their janky old bumblebee uniforms?

Great question, we hope it plays different than TSB3, but the way the field is rendered,  the game will still feel more like TSB3 than TSB1.  We are adding features like controlling lead blockers, and the Madden Passing was added as we sped the game up.  The cycle passing was too slow to compete.   We also added additional animations like the QB dropkick and the player with the ball actually has a ball.  Really looking forward to feedback and playtesting.  I hope people will understand why it took so long to get to this point.

This weekend I start work on Tecmo NBA Basketball '23 for NES. I haven't done one since... 2018?  It's been awhile. I just finished data collection this past week and will start implementing it in the coming days.
 
Also, this past week I started work on College Slam: Championship Edition for SNES. I've been periodically releasing roster and ratings reveals for each team on my Facebook.com/BaronROMs. There will be 53 teams total (44 original teams, 9 additional teams).

In my last 2018 update, I was feeling frisky and updated about half of the team logos in the game. I might go back in and update the rest for my 2023 release. Or I might not. We'll see.

There hasn't been a Tecmo NBA Basketball game since... 2018?  Filling the void!
