Hey Baron,
Bad News Baseball 2017 is great, you did a nice job. Any hope of a 2019 version?
-
Thank you. As of now, it's a one-off. I may do another one in the future, but at the moment, I have no plans.
After I release this season's RBI and Griffey games, I'll have free time. If I do another Bad News, I'd have to find a way to input data more efficiently than before by making a calculator or something along those lines.

When are you making another NCAA Tecmo Football 2019?
-
I do, but small scale modifications, such as adding a player to a game, or in the case or Tecmo Bowl NCAA 2019, I replaced a team with another team. It's taking me a long time to put out ROMs these days as my employment has changed. Basically, I used to work a job that allowed me to do mods while waiting for something at work to happen. It's taken me 4 months longer to put out Griffey 19 than usual. The project you mention, I have actually put it on my radar. It might be something that I look into after the baseball season ends.

I know it seems like going backwards to the year 2011, but any chance you could be convinced to do a 2011 version of Ken Griffey Baseball? Big Tigers fan here and they were pretty solid then.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering!

It's highly unlikely due to the amount of time I'm able to commit (it's been a few months since I've been able to release anything... I used to work a job where I sat behind a desk and created ROMs while waiting for work to happen). However, if I can by way of Patreon garner enough donations to warrant quitting my job and doing this full time (I currently only make $4 a month... cheapskates!), I could make ROMs all day long and then 2011 would definitely be on the docket.

Did you decide on making/releasing and end of the year 2018 NCAA rom? I considered doing one but was waiting to see if you were. I'd love one of yours and would buy a cart too if that's an option.

I started working on an end-of-year NCAA ROM for the original Tecmo Bowl. I set all 32 teams and rosters. I'm about 80% done setting all the cut-scene names correctly. I completely forgot how much of a beast this ROM is going to be. Because I didn't use all of last year's teams in the order that they were, I have to re-set all the team uniforms and "draw" all the scoreboard names for all 32 teams. Once this is complete, all that remains is to rate all the players and input all their 2017 statistics (the reason I prefer vanilla TB over TSB). Ratings are easier to do in TB than TSB because since you can't see a player's ratings on a player data screen, I don't have to worry about nit-pickers and I can be a little more general with the player ratings. I've been shifting between this and TB52. If I were to guess, I'm looking at around a mid-March release for these.

I learned this morning that my wife likes to get up at 2AM to play Mario 64 on my @Raspberry_Pi @recalbox .

I don't have an editor, per se. I remember at my last job writing a program that, once I input player stats into it, it spit out a string of code that I could cut/paste into the ROM. Unfortunately, unless I saved it somewhere else, I think the program is sitting on the computer of this old job. I was laid off back in June.

any chance you still have the ken Griffey Legends snes rom can send me? Tried the link to DL from your 2015 post on forum but an error comes up.
Thanks!

Brian. I wanted to dump what you created on a NES cart. Do think this is possible.
-
It's funny that you mention the College All-Time greats because that's actually on my radar for a future ROM edit. As far as fumbles go, I'm sure it can be added, but because it's not normally in the game it would take a serious overhaul within the actual coding of the game. For now, that's beyond my expertise level.

Thanks... Last night I was able to delay grading a stack of papers because I came across your latest RBI hack (World Series 2016). I did my best to re-write history as my Red Sox took down Cleveland 6-5, then Toronto 8-4, and after a tight game, they held on to win 7-6 against the Cubs.
Red Sox nation slept a little easier last night.
Also, per your request I prefer version A with the traditional RBI style of naming players (just my 2 cents).
-
Thank you. Consider yourself lucky, the Red Sox were good enough that you had option of re-writing history. My Yankees didn't qualify for the playoffs, thus, no RBI ROM.
After a couple of years, I've started taking a liking to the traditional naming format. This is the first ROM that I didn't use the truncating format.
Speaking of grading papers, what do you teach?
