    Found the weather flag last night that is checked for a few things
     
    Its it $025F in memory 
    0x80 = rain
    0x40 = snow
    0x00 = clear
     
    When  you dropback for a pass you have a 0x10 (16/256) chance of slipping in the rain and a 0x18 (24/256) chance of slipping in the snow. 
     
     
    If your QB, defender or punt returner (need to double check the last one) gets tackled in the rain or snow their fumble chance is 0x10 (16/256) vs  0x0c (12/256).
     
    So far that's the only weather effects that I'm finding.

    Sorry guys, been a really rocky couple of months personally, but things seem to be calming down.  I am truly excited to push through the end of this journey and get this thing to your hands.

    This is a release of the 2023-24 dual ROM package with all original game play and attribute comparability 
    •no late season coverage hack 
    •no full juice command. standard juice progression exactly coded as the 93 release. 
    •QB find open receiver hack removed
    •4th quarter logic reset to normal (COM deciding when to punt or go for it on 4th down) 
    •player attributes comparable to the og SNES TSB
    •team and individual sim data have been updated 
    •some playbooks and offensive tendencies have changed 
    All these changes were made in order to have a better game play flow that was more on par with the og SNES TSB release in 1993. This allows for a more wide open bombs away style. I hope you enjoy!!

    Will do,  also, not sure if I ever posted this before, there are 2 places to change the jerseys for each team.  Before exhibition, the jersey you choose for each team becomes their default jersey for the home or away.
     
    The second spot is the new Team Control menu.  Still want to add some things here, like the ability to change a teams defense, offense and a coaching rating that will be used with our impact ratings.  The gradings are a place holder and will be replaced at some point.  Pretty sure I could come up with a way to actual keep the gradings up to date with changes you make, but that is more of a if I ever get time, right now we are focused on getting the plays coded to a point where we can release a beta.

    Still at it, I'm going through a butt load of coding for the play tiles.  More work than I thought it would be to have the tiles load according to who you have in the game.  The way we are going to design plays is each play will have 4 (this isn't set in stone) different plays according to who's in the game.  Default will be RB1, WR3, WR1, WR2 and TE1.  The WR3 and TE1 spots are the spots that if you change, the formation will change with it.  Put RB2/RB3 in the WR3 spot, it'll change the formation to a 2 back set and you'llsee the player line up in the backfield.  Put WR4 in the TE1 spot. Will change to a 4 WR formation with all the players off the line.  That part is done, now I need to load the tiles correctly when you do that.  Fun times.

    Not sure what you mean.
     
    Side note, we added snow and rain to the cutscenes.  The original didn't have it for anything but the coin toss.  We added it so that the weather effects show up during all cutscenes.

    Yeah, there just wasn't enough old jerseys to use.  Teams like Dallas, Green Bay, Las Vegas will have less than 16 also.  I might take creative liberties for some, but some just don't have much to work with.  But when we drop the rom, we'll include the jersey locations for people to do what they wish.

    Yes, that is the Bills.  I have the AFC east up to date.  Miami has 8 home jerseys and but only 4 away jerseys.  The other 3 teams have 16 total different ones.

    Made some ground on a couple of the bugs still left, found locations and RAM locations, next week will be going through see why some might be happening, or how I can work around them.  Also finished the coding for more alternate jerseys.
     
    Just a sample, but teams will have up to 8 alt home jerseys and 8 away jerseys.

    Knocked 2 1/2 of the things off the list.
     
    Remaining items:
    Bug for the year end rewards - not working.
    Bug for returning from injury - I kind of know what is happening, need to rewrite the code to load the color palettes.
    Bug for in game player face flash graphics - not showing the right jersey for away players.
    Plays - This is a big one, but when we get enough, we will release a beta for playtesting and bug finding.
    Play graphics - depending on what we find, might be able to load tiles based on the players in the game
    Rosters - easiest part left, just waiting for a clearer roster picture for teams.
     
    Side stuff upgrades:
    expand the alternate jerseys
    Button over WR for the madden passing controls - 50% (Presnap done)
    expand the faces for players and created players

    Great question, we hope it plays different than TSB3, but the way the field is rendered,  the game will still feel more like TSB3 than TSB1.  We are adding features like controlling lead blockers, and the Madden Passing was added as we sped the game up.  The cycle passing was too slow to compete.   We also added additional animations like the QB dropkick and the player with the ball actually has a ball.  Really looking forward to feedback and playtesting.  I hope people will understand why it took so long to get to this point.

    It looks really amazing!
    How is the game play compared to TSB3 or TSB1?
    I like much more the game play in TSB1 or even in TSB for the NES than in TSB3. It seems much more fluid to me.

    In my opinion, the graphics in your mod look a lot better than in TSB3 🏈. Buttons over available receivers is a great addition too.
    Cannot wait to try it! TSB4 with 32 teams 😮 and NCAA with 40 😲.
