Shout out to Tom and his crew on an amazing tournament. With everything going on it’s more like a big video game expo, from 10 foot HD screens with VR that anyone can play on, to multiple retro and current video game tournaments. They even had a lot of people show up for board game tournaments. Vendor booths/shops, food, drinks, free arcade, cosplay, and musical entertainment...it’s truly a sight to see. I’m not a Smash Brothers or Fortnite guy but it was awesome to see all the younger kids roll in with their parents and participate, they were truly excited.
 
My only regret is not spending enough time with the Tecmo crew as I had to continually oversee my shop when I wasn’t playing 😢. It was great to see everyone from Ohio, NY, Michigan, and Wisconsin. And if I missed you or our conversations were short, I apologize. I got nothing but love for you all!

So apparently Mort is going to come in from Buffalo so that might leave myself and Gats out in the cold.  If the 2 of us don't show up you Ohio players could have a chance to finish as high as 2nd place instead of 4th.

Awesome, hopefully I’ll be able to make it this year. I’ll try to make whatever dates you decide but if the Browns have a home game the following Sunday that’d be nice! I could prolly bring in 5-6 more guys from southern Ohio.

I like the idea of a third place prize more than a group play prize. Group play already matters for seeding, and could end up being the same person winning. Plus with a third place prize, even if you lose in semis, there will be a money game to play between the two people that lost in semis. I think it's more fun that way than being one game away from the finals and not having a chance to play a "money game" for anything.

Had this banner waiting on me when I got home. I have a true lady of Tecmo.
I had so much fun this weekend and to win one of these was incredible. I was a little salty that they didn’t have a police escort for me as I rolled into my hometown with the trophy, but I think I might get a sign underneath the 2009 boys basketball state champions, so I’ve got that going for me. Big thanks to everyone involved, and the love from the Tecmo community after this was phenomenal. Something I’ll never forget. You guys are the best. Can’t wait to spend another day drinking and playing this game with you guys. It’ll never get old.
