Thanks for coming!!  Our tournament is definitely a party that happens to have Tecmo haha.  If you decide to come back next year we are going to get more machines set up so it doesn't drag on as long as it did. We had about 20 more players then we ever had before and just completely underestimated things.
 
I know it's only because of turnovers but I consider taking you to OT a win for me.

Congratulations @tecmobo.  You had a fine tournament.

I had an absolute blast at Blono Tecmo XV. Thank you Chris, Tim, and everyone else who had a hand in putting on the tourney. 
 
@Tecmo Psycho, great write-up on the tourney. It was awesome to meet and play you. You are a great guy. As for our loser's bracket game, I should have taken the Eagles! Although I just know you would have obliterated me with that Bears defense  
 
... And don't worry about the lags between matches toward the end of the night. Believe me, the Chicago boys were all having a great time (except Flo for a spell there  ). We didn't get home till late, but we knew what we were getting into. If we made frequent mention about how long the stream/tournament was going, it was all in fun. We were in the moment and having the time of our lives. I believe I speak for most of us when I say we are hooked, and we'll definitely be back next year for Blono Tecmo XVI ... when you should be prepared to suffer my revenge!

I know man.... the cyber stalking of people in your pool will be at an all time high (meaning an all-time low for you). lol

So is it sad that I am sitting around all day checking the website every 5 minutes to see if the groups have been released yet?
 

Maybe this isn't the best forum to ask about that in. Let's just stick to tourney build up. For those coming from out of the region. I suggest dining at Taco John's at least once during your stay. That is as long as you've never had potato ole's and haven't confirmed that they are the best fast food side a Tecmoer could ask for.

As the pinnacle of the Tecmo tournaments, I am grateful for all of the years you, the Madison folks, and those that the many other countless volunteers have poured into this event. You all have truly been a class act, run your tournaments with impeccable precision, and are good people to top it all off. I know I speak for many when I say thank you for the chance to get together with others across this fine nation to play the game we all grew to love. While I am sad to see it go, know that your work, dedication, and passion for the tournaments have been passed on to numerous other tournament organizers that have been inspired by you all. Hopefully, as a collective community of tournament organizers, we will be able to provide even a fraction of the entertainment and camaraderie that your tournament has offered us over the years. Thank you for everything, and I look forward to seeing you all at Tecmo XII. 

Remember folks when it comes to Tecmo Madison it's not about if you win or lose it's how drunk you get.

To be honest I didn't know anything about Gats other then my buddy telling me he had a lot of online games on record.  I had no idea of his situation but reading all of this I feel even more honored to have played him in group play.  He killed me like 38-7 in the 2nd round but hay can't complain.  It's is awesome to hear about you staying with family after so long and good luck on te job search.  I too have been struggling with that since being laid off in December so I know how hard that can be.  Good luck to ya Joey!!
