Ok let's talk about what Bo Know's against top teams

 

Buffalo - Raiders  - QB Bills God Like PC vs 50 INT guys better than Bo running circles around Corny Bennett?

Eagles - Raiders - Can QB Eagles be pestered enough by the Raiders DL?  

Giants - Raiders - Would LT break a sweat chasing Bo?

Cincy / Wash is one of those weird matchups that are almost "close enough" to think the other guy knows something you don't if called.  But yes I thinks it's still Cincy

 

Good points on Indy, if you can win the tap it's probably a valid choice

 

SF - Mort had talked about if you take Montana and Rice out where would the 49ers be?  Even if you just took out Joe they would come down to earth a bit.  49ers D is great in their own right and are overshadowed by the O show.   I think the Madison Match up record isn't a slam dunk for SF against HOU.  I think the ONLY  reason I'd call SF/HOU would be against a guy I have played a lot that just destroys me and hope that I can sneak up on him if he plays loosy goosey because he has so much of an advantage and then Tecmo Gods give me some favors.

 

I tell ya I need to get some TPC in.  Thought my Game has improved since last Madtown, but I have been drafting to my strengths in leagues and there really isn't a tecmo original team out there that resembles the teams I put together.

I can only begin to understand the logistical challenge that you guys take on each year when you're pulling the groups together for a tournament of over 250 players. Just incredible work, and it's safe to say that it is very much appreciated by everyone who participates.

We have also taken into consideration the friends/family aspect for Tundra Bowl, but we only had 49 people to try and orchestrate that with, not 250+. Of course though, Madison does it right, and it's always the measuring stick for any TSB tourney. Everyone appreciates the effort that goes into it, especially those that have run their own tournaments. There is an incredible amount of work that goes into even the smaller tourneys, and there is nothing but respect for those that can do it successfully.

We expect to have to shuffle one or two #2/#3 seeds between now and tourney day, so we'll add this to our list for consideration. No promises, though. In general, it's impossible to perfectly distribute the talent across 32 groups, especially with as many unknowns as we have, but we try our best.

None of these are the official seeds. I used an SRS (Simple rating System http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=37)  method to come up with a power list from tecmo tourney's 8-10. Then based on that and my own subjectivity/personal biases I came up with these seeds

The heavy hitters. Chet is the odds on favorite with no Regulator and is the #1 overall seed. by quite a large margin. The difference between chet and another #1 seed is the same as the difference between a #1 and a #6 seed. Daboys might be one of the best to have not won so I'm looking for a deep run from him this year. He had chet on the ropes in Tecmo 9 and was about 14 minutes fromt he finals when chet returned a kick for a TD right before half that swung the momentum in the game. Matty V like DAboys was one win away from a finals appearance taking down skunker in an EPIC battle before falling to Chet. No shame in that and he's posied for another deep run

Jeff B has wins over mort and daboy in his tecmo resume but faltered in the round of 32 last year as Odelle bested him by 14 in  HOU v GIA matchup. It's been a couple tourney's for moonwalk but he had wins over Bontempo and Louis only to fall to Regulator... like most everyone not named Chet have. Troy H had a solid win over Adam (Garbage)  in Tecmo X but also fell to the Tecmo wrecking ball Regulator last year. in the round of 32. Gats was cruising along last year in pool play and played Regulator and Chet tough in some practice games. Hwoever a controller malfunction helped to contribute to a first round exit. A winner of multiple online titles gats wants to get last years bad taste out of his mouth and make a finals run.

Mort going down in the round of 64 was one of last year's stunning surprises. The former champ narrowly lost to an unknown in the round of 64
and struggled in kumite. Can the Mort magic return? Two time champ and always dangerous Bontempo made another deep run last year besting sonofpatbeach and chris vogt before losing to who else...Regulator. My tourney run ended last year to Coconuts in matchup call I wish I could have back. Coco would beat orenga and posse before falling to two of the #1 seeds Skunker and MV in the final 8 double elim. Diaz  rounds out the 3 seeds thanks to a deep Kumite run before falling to Regulator and a deep run in Texmo X before falling to chet. 
 
Had a hard time with seeds 4-8 as I feel they are fairly interchangeable.

Josh H. (sonofpatbeach)  - Co founder and former champion beat daboy but lost to Bontempo in the round of 16 in Tecmo X

Kevin M. (buzzsaw)               -  Big wins came back in Tecmo VII. Got punded by REg in Tecmo IX and didnt make it out of round robin last year.
Luke C. (Luke C.)                 -  My first practice game on Friday of last year. Solid competitor. Losses to daboy R32 in  IX and Vikingmoe R64

Nope I'm not confused about who gio is.    He was in my pool last year and his losses were to me and joey.  But he's been playing online after madison as many of the online guys know. In many other groups I'd say he'd have a great chance to come out of the group as at least the runner up.

Here's a cool one that happened to my brother twice in one game:

 

If you are in your own end zone looking to pass and you're near the sideline, if the pass gets blocked by a defender and goes out of the side of the endzone it's a SAFETY!

 

Needless to say, my borther was pissed, and I told him I had seen it before. The best part was when it happened to him again later that same game. What are the odds, right?

That said, I agree that Gary Anderson is a good RB, but he has the worst OL in the game "blocking" for him. So he can be limited with lots of extra drones wandering around. Attribute-wise, he's better than Johnny Johnson because of his higher REC. That's right, TBK, I said it...

im not love in the fact that basically that tb has 1 usable man defender. Atleast den would not have the personel to run a 2rb offense (run it haddixx attack with upsweeps). Den has good lb1, lb4. db1 is slow as shit can be had, but couple usable safties. I can see be either teams. Id prob roll with goodside.

All very close ones, and as per usual, really depends on who I am playing.

 

But I take DET over SD, but honestly it's a real toss up there.  Very evenly matched.  TB over PIT.  PIT doesn't play too well trailing, and if you can get on them, that's a big advantage.  NO has enough D to contain Sterling, while the Pack D shouldn't have much success slowing down a mediocre NO offense, NO over GB.  HOU over BUF, as the Bills secondary can't contain HOU, and you shouldn't be running anyway.
