I have a feeling that when Tailback loses, he'll do anything but shut up. Likely the opposite. Repeated butt kickings probably wouldn't change his mind or shut him up.

 

It's curious though; I would pay money to play him or see him play at this point.

This is a good one, because there are arguments for any opponent.  Is the opponent better than you?  Take Rison with the punchers chance, or take NYJ where you can potentially control the defensive side a bit better for that 1 stop/turnover you need.  Worse than you?  Take Falcons to take out the Rison bomb factor, or take NYJ to potentially dominate on D?   I could see this going either way against virtually anyone.  This one is 100%  who I'm playing at the time its called.

MIN v. MIA - I lean MIA here
MIN v. CIN - Closer than people think, but Cincy has the edge here
MIN v. DEN - Vikes
MIN v. SD - toss up, depends on my opponent
MIN v. WASH - toss up again but lean MIN
MIN v. DAL - Who would ever take Dallas here?

One that was missed here, I think, is MIN vs TB.

Outside of yourself and Kamphuna, I'd say that seems about right to me. Unless I'm missing somebody....

Forget Wisconsin. Tailback would go 0 for the state of MN. We got bestinworld, sconnie ale, edisaurex, 8-bit, QB Browns, sega, adversity, myself, my brother, AND my sister. That's just off the top of my head!

I look forward to watching this game. Well written argument here, but I'm concerned about one thing. Vinny obviously has very poor PS, and I think that is accentuated when opposed by Fulcher's ability to cover so much of the field with his speed. As CIN, you could risk calling runs on defense a bit more often knowing that Fulcher can cover almost everybody.
Conversely, Haddix has the advantage of being able to JJ INT Boomer, where Cincy's Fulcher does not carry the same advantage over Vinny (barring condition changes). Perhaps you two could share if these were significant factors in your matchup.
Overall, it's an intriguing matchup that I hadn't previously considered. Thanks for sharing! 

I fancy myself to be OK on defense, so there are probably several teams I'd prefer over the Raiders if I thought about it:
DUH:  SF, NYG, HOU, BUF
MAYBE/PROBABLY:  MIA, CIN, CHI, PHI, KC
YOURE PUSHING IT:  RAMS, MIA

I was recently watching my Midwest Tecmo games on the stream and was reading the comments from my CIN/T.B matchup call. The comments were consistent with what I hear a lot from folks. Even veteran players. Here's my breakdown on why I love it. I baited my man @manyo360 in the round of 32 in Madison some years back. Manyo, is this in the black book now? 
 
Tampa Bay's weaknesses are: OL, DL, LB and that's it. Throw in an All-Tecmo defender with a top 5 DB unit combined with a 31ms QB and a 94HP RB/TE. There's good value to eek out here in the right hands. 
 
Cincinnati's weaknesses are: DL, LB, and WR. In this matchup Cincy's impotent DL cancels out T.B's shitty OL (which is the fear, usually. no one wants Vinny running for his life with that low PS). Yeah, Francis has 69HP but coincidentally T.Bs best lineman is at OL4 sporting a healthy 50HP to keep Francis in check under average conditions. I call this the Paul Han(d)s Gruber effect. The shitty WR's of Cincy against a top DB squad in Tampa Bay make throwing into coverage very dangerous. Get up early with T.B in this matchup and it's very hard for the Bungles to come clawing back. 
 
If your opponent does not take the bait and picks T.B you still have the "better" team in the Bengals. Brooks, Boomer and Fo-Rock can always get it done in the right hands. Also, at a quick glance these teams are similar with mobile QBs and single stud DBs. So as far as playbooks go.... choose wisely.

I like Indy. Since the NE offense is so slow they won't break a huge play on Indy, and you can MAN 11 different guys for optimal position lol. Perhaps, it also comes down to how comfortable someone is MANning Lippett at DB2.

Since SEA was pretty much the consensus versus NE. How about this one...
 
NE vs Indy 

NE has Lippet who is really the main difference between the two defenses but he is in that terrible spot so he can be somewhat taken out of the game and you are left with my original comparison.  Just a sample playbook where using lippet/agnew will be rough. 
 

SEA- You can run at Lippet which netrualizes their best defender most plays. Then you are left with 38ms rbs vs 31 and a 69pc qb vs 44.

It's Raiders and it's not even close. At best you're in a shoot out if you're the Rams, but you have a much lower chance of actually getting a stop, IMO.

@Neerrm This matchup is sneaky good. Steelers match up well vs the bad TB OL. This is a great match up to call if you're comfortable with the Steelers, because I think most would take TB.

That was a great discussion about HP differences and drones. I always wondered why the result was inconsistent with a 25hp difference.
 
Of course, it's pretty rare to have a 50hp difference along the line, but the 25hp differences are significant enough to be aware of.
