  1. I was a great weekend for me especially it being my first Madison. I got to meet even more great guys at this event that I haven't had the chance to before. Played some scrims Friday with Tecmo Psycho, Carnage, Arncoem, and Ryan11P before we all ate dinner together with Coconuts ( who is a super awesome dude). They were all great even though I kinda felt like the 5th wheel with everyone being in TTC which is probably the best and most unique OG rom league out there. Play in tournament was great and I got to meet Leif Powers, who's FAQs I read when I got into Tecmo, was super cool Friday night as well. Finally met Knobbe, Dave F'n Murray, Bruddog, Noonan, Storksdaman, Gats, Sega, Gripsmoke, Manyo and many others from the online community that I can't think of at the moment. Also got to hang out with guys I haven't seen in a while O Toole, Odell, Louis, Mort, DT, Josh H, Chet, Orenga, Oklahoma (Bo), and the list goes on. I just can't express enough how great it was to be a this tournament with such awesome guys who share the same passion for a game 25 years old. I was able to win my group but get knocked out in the round of 64 by DT, who was in my group and I had beaten him. But he got sweet revenge when it mattered most. I have nothing negative to say about this tournament as it was by far the best I have ever attended. My only regret from Madison is that I wish I had attended this event sooner. I only had a small sample size of what the Madison experience is about and selfishly I wish it wouldn't be ending. I just want to thank everyone that made my trip to Madison the best it could be. I wish good health and good fortune to the entire Madison crew and their families as they move forward with life.
  2. Thanks for posting the radio interview. I missed it due to being on the airplane. much appreciated
  3. I won't be able to make the tournament this time. Sorry guys. Wife gave me the approval to attend until we realized she would be out of the state that weekend. I just can't seem to get to this tournament.....first it was mothers day now its on the same weekend my wife will be out of state...... One day my friends....one day the swamp will invade Niagara.
  4. Those guys are definitely the favorites but If the play in tournament is single elimination anything can happen.
  5. do we know who is seeded in each group? I havent notice anything as far as seeding goes. Not like it really matters i guess because if we play well we'll make the bracket
  6. be prepared for Ashman's 30 minute matchup selection if he has to choose the matchup.......or maybe he just does it to me when he and I play at tournaments to mess with my head.........
  7. There is nothing wrong with looking for a new location for the "Big" Tecmo tournament. While guys are throwing cities around I'm going to throw Dallas in the mix. Dallas has two airports with relatively low airfare from anywhere in the country, especially through Southwest airlines who's main hub is at one of the airports. The weather, if done at the same time as Madison was held, would be great and NOT below freezing. Its a great city which offers many things to do outside of Tecmo. Only time will tell where/when the next "Main Event" for Tecmo takes place. But let's not stop the discussion on potential cities because we need one huge gathering a year no matter where it is.
  8. are each group seeded 1-8 or is there just a 1 seed and then a mixture players are tossed in? just wondering is all.
  9. yeah, after your obvious top players I'm sure it gets fuzzy on who fits where in regards to seeding.
  10. if you're including these results as a helpful tool to possibly determine seeding for Madison we must include all tournaments since Tecmo XI. Since probably half the tournaments dont keep records like they should it'll be difficult to get really accurate results. With that said I am more than welcome to forward the results from Swamp Bowl II (May 2015) to the appropriate people. I have all results with matchup calls.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5jYsIZSmEQ&list=PLmyExdiek0DiPGu-hLntY-mCS9SNm-ZLz Playlist link for Tecmo Texas streamed games
  12. I bought this one and I have had zero issues using it. Yes it is a little more expensive but I can say that it has worked flawlessly for me.
  13. yeah, it was a picture of one of the landmarks of deep ellum. I thought it would add a nice touch
  14. hope the stream was decent quality. I'm far from an expert at streaming live events. I dont think the stream dropped out at all. thanks to Brett and the crew for putting on the event. They plan to expand the field for next year. Deep Ellum is an awesome place to hold an event such as this. It was great fun. I'll post the videos on YouTube tomorrow.
  15. We most definitely need to watch this!!! I'll drink some local ale while being a spectacular.
