This is pretty amazing. We should be pretty proud of our little community here. This would never happen in a Madden forum lol. See Joey, maybe everything online isn't so fantasy after all... There are people here that believe in you, in ways that have nothing to do with Tecmo. I for one, look forward to shaking your hand.

That is awesome. My favorite part is that Byars and Millard are PLAYING football while Haddix is just kinda standin around WATCHING football.

Mort, thank you for that heart felt post. It takes a lot to admit what you did and I highly respect you for it. In chatting with Joey I've realized that perception is not always reality. And I suspect what many think what we may see in Madison from Joey, is not what we'll get. For the sake of privacy I won't go into full details but let's say I have direct knowledge that Joey is going to try and take some steps to better himself. But I'm no fool. I also know there's a good chance he won't come this year even considering our efforts. And that's okay. I ask the community to please try and be a source of support and not destruction. Step outside the forum and remember we need to take care of each other. Just give the kid a break. His life has been a little different from most of ours. Please donate. Thank you!

Yeah I pretty much assume that any money I put in is a donation, not an investment. For $20 I just want a picture with gats and my money has been well spent. Also, whatever helps not give him any excuses to back out is a plus. I just want him to show up. Meeting people you kind of already know is a very fun addition to these tournaments.

Mort, this is a very good idea. You can count on me every year to help somebody from our community come to Madison who otherwise couldn't. With controversy always surrounding Gats it could be tough this year. However, imagine how much controversy and entertainment he'll bring to us LIVE... C'mon folks!!! Skip a disappointing trip to the movies and help make some Tecmo history! I'd also like to propose that if this happens and gats wins enough prize money that we hold enough funds to bring him back for TecmoXI so it doesn't interrupt with other fund raising next year.

Awesome work. Thank you so much for everything you do! When I was loading it up I was like "please don't be on the 2, please don't be on the 2." The 5 makes perfect sense, it gives both offense and defense a little room to work.

Daughter turns 1 on 5/2/14. I tried to convince my wife that since she's 1 she'd have no idea whether or not I'm even here. Well, wife said something about how SHE'D know. Weird... huh? Bummer. I stayed on the East side last year and it was just far enough to be kind of a PITA. Too far for a quick pit stop between games. I'm thinking Sheraton so after I get bounced early I can go collect myself, then return to cheer on my boys!

Great write up Kweh. I've been messing around with this the last three or four games and the extra lag effects gameplay too much. Upload speed is 5400 and I've knocked down the max bitrate to 2000 with no success. Anything else I can try? Thanks.

Hey all, sorry if this has been previously discussed, but I don't remember seeing any information on this. You know when you get out-tapped and are absolutely blown up, and your dude goes flying like 10 yards downfield? Any idea if this is completely random? Or based on the difference in taps? Based on HP? Or all of the above? Thanks!

For me, back to back Tecmo weekends is difficult to schedule.

The change I'd like to see is that next year I'm there.

I was a console guy and adapted to online to get better. If you look at the field the top talent often has a brother to train and compete with. Chet and Josh, Kyle and Matt, Mort and Louis, Chris and Matt and Jimmy, and I'm sure the list goes on... Online is a great format for tons of fun and to "practice" for the real thing. But nothing compares to having a crowd over your shoulder hanging on every single play down the stretch. I had the luxury to be a part of "one of those games" and doesn't compare to anything online. Bottom line, anybody can be good in their underwear. Put your big boy pants on and come on out to Madison for some "perspective" on how good you're not. I'm not well versed on the console vs online but I'm pretty sure Tecmo was originally designed for a console. Case closed. As far as Reg being average "without his tapping skills." For the same two guys to advance the way they did in two consecutive years means they're great at every aspect of the game including tapping. Does Reg get to the finals without his tapping? Not as likely, but still likely. But last time I checked tapping is considered skill just like playbooks, limiting your garbage, using blockers, timing, whatever. Hey Lou, thanks for the 513 love but no way I deserve to be mentioned in this thread. And unfortunately, big Steve Engel's wife has his long distance gaming a bit on lockdown and won't be making the Madison trip. He has a newborn so probably no chance in a win anyway based on #TecmoIX facts. From the buzz online Regulator is probably a decent pick. The double elimnation will help ensure the elite don't get screwed and the rest of us will have a second shot at a possible major upset. Can't wait for seeding! Hope it's favorable because I could so see myself going out in back to backs. Good luck everyone and I'm looking forward to meeting those I haven't yet met from the Cincy/Cleveland tourneys.
