Anyone who knows the Tecmo scene knows that if there was a first class of 5 guys it'd be = Chet + Josh, Knobbe, Murray, and Bruddog. Those 5 have done more for TSB than you, Sobhi, or Reg will ever do, no offense. Facts are facts.

I'd never call those in tourney play, but I'd wager against the average player, I could win over 50% of those games. Against a top-notch player, maybe 2/10.

Philly really should not be that high up there, I feel that so many teams that are "below PHI's rank" can neutralize/slow down Eagles. KC, MIN, MIA, DET, even PIT and the JETS can do wonders. Against that defense, there isn't much besides Jerome and Reggie. Sure, you've got Joyner, Allen, and Smith - but they're really not great at defending the pass, no one is on that team. Not to mention, against a Marino/Deberg type, Waters will get picked on a lot. So basically it comes down to the question of "Can I score absolutely every single time while my opponent sits on pass all day with PHI?"

The 2 man tourney is intriguing. I'd definitely need to know beforehand if you're allowed to bring a partner or choose your own..

Not a particularly great idea IMHO. You want to switch defenders during the play, go play Madden.

I've never personally done one of these, but I imagine it's one of the hard parts - balancing trying to ensure people have fun and get enough games in for their buck vs fairness.

I don't like that idea either. If you're going 16 groups, and only top guy advances from each, you may see several 3-1 players get shafted. If you're going 16 groups, take top 2 from each and make it double elim for the 32 left. Edit: not to mention - if I got tecmoed and lost in group play, going 3-1 with a 40-50 point diff., losing my spot to a guy who went 2-2 with a negative point differential would grind my gears.

Funny story - this popped up out of nowhere. Moving April 1st, didn't think I could swing any tourneys until the summer. Lo and behold, one pops up an hour from me.
