  1. First hardcore it was...I wouldn't call it major difficulty. I'm typically a .500 player in all of these tourneys so it turned out as expected. Although I came close against Joey in our first game. My particular match ups didn't favor a lot of subbing of WR's or TE's into weird spots. I think Tom S dived at me once for a sack and maybe Gats did once as well but that was it. I feel capable of playing either Hardcore or Madison style.
  2. Fun location, fun crowd, generous prizes drinks and food. Greatly run tourney as well by Trojan as per usual. Will certainly play again barring any scheduling road blocks. And I'll get Gats one of these times.
  3. Maybe this isn't the best forum to ask about that in. Let's just stick to tourney build up. For those coming from out of the region. I suggest dining at Taco John's at least once during your stay. That is as long as you've never had potato ole's and haven't confirmed that they are the best fast food side a Tecmoer could ask for.
  4. Well I guess I have to get my ass with it and actually use Office. Or just use it through work. Anyway with regard to "online garbage." Is there anyone who plays online using a CRT as their monitor? If so what are the challenges, pros/cons of doing so? I for one can't play with any lag so I've never gotten into the garbage realm really. Just curious if anyone cares enough about lag to use a CRT monitor and also how well that has worked.
  5. I remember last year somebody did a big post about his predictions for each group, the round of 64, 32 and so on. I am not talking about Bruddogs bracketology (also a stellar read) but someone else. I did a scan through the posts from last tourney and couldn't find it. Hopefully it wasnt a dream because I really enjoyed reading it. Either way I know groups are a few weeks off from being made but if anyone recalls who/what I'm referring to let me know so I can be on the lookout when we get there. Peace, and Tecmoness 4 eva.
  6. Hey Nate just wondering if you have all the equipment you need. I have 3 CRT's and a system which can all come if needed but if you are square then I'll spare my back for my Madison offering. Probably easier to answer once you know how many people to expect.
  7. Always looking for more players. If you somehow read this and you are near West Allis or anywhere in SE Wisconsin give me a text if you're looking for practice. 205-410-3023.

  8. I am hoping to host a small to mid sized gathering at my place on Feb 15th, the day after Valentines. I have about 4 players lined up right now but would like to see around ten or so. Any folks in the Milwaukee area are welcome to attend. I am on 80th and Lincoln in West Allis. Contact me at 205-410-3023 with any interest. Nick

  9. I have a commitment for something at 9AM down in Milwaukee area but a friend and I are actually coming to GB later that day to pick up an arcade machine he purchased. I'm sure we'll be stopping in to spectate for a while. If there are any extra t-shirts I'd probably grab one for $10. Wish I could participate, would be great prep for Madison.
  10. Is the full 256 expected to be filled? Taking longer than I expected even with the downtime of the payment tool. Hope the lack of hotel space and the increased cost isn't scaring people away.
