    Welcome back to TecmoBowl.org as we and cover athlete Rob Gronkowski celebrate the 21st birthday of Tecmo Super Bowl with our annual release! If you haven't been around in a while I hope you like our new site and if it's your first time we hope you stay and look around.

    If you find any misspellings or wrong numbers, please feel free to hit our forums and let us know. This is our release candidate and we will surely update this as we progress. You can suggest that we make your favorite players awesomer....but we probably won't. That sort of stuff is based on assumptions and we're sticking with ours!

    Shucks, Buck, you're right. I found 3 or 4 sources that told me the #s I presented (in all cases),

    So I'll be jiggered....

    Check that- This just in:

    according to wikipedia, "In 2011 Chris Long decided to change his jersey number from 72 to his former collegiate number 91."

    The Rams website has his number 91 too.

    (AZ's Calais Campbell is mos def #93 though. So buck - and the Rom, for that matter - you're right about that/I was wrong.)

    Hey, you guys lookin for other Divisional feedback I might not've hit on yet (AFC N/S/W, NFC E/N/S), or you getting that?

    Here're some other numbers (etc.) for ya:

    Colts

    MOORE = #26

    AVERY = #11

    MCGLYNN = #75

    CASTONZO = #74

    JUSTICE = #69

    REDDING = #90

    POWERS = #25

    DAVIS = #23

    KR = HILTON

    PR = HILTON

    The only actual benefit I can prescribe to our work promoting a free game is the crowd sourcing affect that comes from it. Gathering new faces to create new Tecmo Tournaments, Roms, or what have you. What you do with a crowd is up to you!

    Just a question, teams total ratings trump individuals right? Just trying to help with those blah blah he should be better suggestions. We all think our team players should be better, thats why we have an editor. I think team feel is mire important with the normal ratings. I know jstout has come up with multiple hacks to boost team play styles, ie the quickness int hack. Where quickess is formulated for incompletes, int is just for ints. Mad props to who ever rated this thing, 840 players is no joke and it seems to be without bias. Mucho time was taken to do these and until you actually do a rom, you cant fully appreciate the hard work that goes into a hack this size.

    TRUTH!

    Just annunciating some exuberance dudes, that's all it is.

    If I'm not mistaken, I offered to continue help make it "all the way right", anyway.

    Well said, MGK.

    going to be going over everything today and releasing a potential final release. If we start releas

    not that I am sure, but I would bet that the player who got the sack has a name that is longer than 16 characters (including first name and spaces). if so, this is a roster problem.

    I've had a couple sacks where it came up " QB SACK " but no last name underneath? Maybe that's already been noted.

    Great catch guys!

    This is awesome. My only suggestion would be, since I noticed some updates to the field, would to make the out of bounds boarder wider like a real NFL field. But nice work! Thank you.

    You can do the same thing from simming the original twice. Let me know after you've simmed 100 times ;)

    I've finished a season with the Eagles, and you've pretty much did a perfect job with them. One small thing is Derek Landri is starting over Fletcher Cox at nose tackle. But with the way we are going to rotate on our defensive line they are both probably going to play a very similar amount of reps anyway. And Landri is a beast, but I would rather play with Cox (lol) since he is our most coveted rookie.

    Favorite TSB since the original

    Here is RC2

    Notable Fixes

    • ProBowl Kickers playing for the right team
    • Changed the wording of PC/PA to Pass Ability/Avoid Intercept
    • A bunch of player tweaks from this thread in addition to checking on my own
    • Fixed long names

    Don't have time for a change log so you're on your own.

    One thing that hasn't been really thoroughly checked is similar color teams playing against each other.

    I'm either going to release Final tonight or ASAP on Sunday.

    Nothing stood out as too egregious this time (RC2), except that:

    SPILLER still needs to be made Buffalo PR, and

    OSWEILER (#6) now needs to be made Denver QB2

    (….I haven't gone over the rest of my previously-submitted edits though - and probably won't - to see if those corrections still need to be implemented).

    Otherwise, additional edits include….

    Giants:

    KR = WILSON

    Eagles:

    KR = BROWN

    Vikings:

    PR = WRIGHT

    SIMPSON = #81

    Saints:

    Is FB Jed Collins going to be worthy of 1/2 the (default) run-plays?

    Falcons:

    KR = RODGERS

    NT = peria JERRY (#94)….corey Peters was put on the "Reserve/Non Football Injury"/PUP list.

    michael PALMER = white

    Jets:

    MALONE = #3

    So you actually used the pass ability/avoid intercept hack? Otherwise that wording is more confusing

    Are you referencing a different hack than the original one?

    Pass control = on target and determining receptions/deflections

    Pass ablity = ability to avoid interception

    Will 42 count? My plan was 50, but I crashed. Thanks to FCEUX, I was able to SIM a season and record who made the playoffs, conf championships, SB and SB winner in about 3 minutes each. That and the wife was watching some chick flick, so what better time....

    I'll post the results and suggested changes in just a few.

    East seems about right. The only thing I would change is both the Jets and Dolphins have the same SIM total of 9. Jets 2,7. Dolphins 1,8. I would either increase the Jets or drop Miami. And who knows, maybe NYJ will surprise after Tebow takes over and does his miracle stuff.

    post-5893-0-56005600-1347195179_thumb.jp

    North seems off. Cincy was a playoff team last year, but they hardly make the playoffs.

    Pit 9,F

    Bal 8,D

    Cin 5,A (that 5 seems WAY too low).

    Interesting thing is PIT has better SIM numbers yet Baltimore dominated the playoffs.

    Cle never making the playoffs is just about right.

    post-5893-0-87761100-1347195188_thumb.jp

    South is OK, but Jax seems too good. Their SIM numbers aren't great so it's surprising they made the playoffs so much. Easy schedule??

    post-5893-0-07040600-1347195197_thumb.jp

    Denver dominates the West. I would drop their SIM numbers a bit. A,C is too high. This division always seems to be close right to the end. I have Denver winning the division, but not 90% of the time. SD's results don't reflect their fairly good SIM numbers. Maybe a fluke.

    Hi again. Great job on RC2. A couple more changes (hopefully you release one more update,RC3?) for the Atlanta Falcons:

    1) Lousaka Polite should be starting on offense, he is the FB and lead blocker for Michael turner

    2) Jacquizz Rogers is the starting KR

    3) Johnathan Babineaux (he is a DL) should be moved to NT in place of Corey Peters (he is out). The other option is to create Peria Jerry and make him the NT. Also if you move Babineaux to NT from LB you can create MIke Peterson (who is the Falcons other MLB)

    4) Dunta Robinson won the starting CB job over Asante Samuel

    5) Michael Palmer (TE) is white, not black.

    6) Garrett Reynolds won the starting RG job over Peter Konz

    Other than those small changes, everything else looks good to go for the Falcons. Thanks for all the hardwork you put into this!

    By the way, I was playing Madden '13 earlier today and realized TSB is such a better game!

    NFC

    post-5893-0-45619500-1347196267_thumb.jp

    Philly dominates although the Giants have better SIM numbers and Dallas is a close 3rd. Easier schedule because they play the 3rd place teams? Maybe drop Phi a notch and increase Dal or Was.

    4,5 seems low for the Skins.

    post-5893-0-92736800-1347196276_thumb.jp

    GB & MIN are spot on. Have Chi 8,C and Det D,4. makes Chi better and Det was the playoff team last year. Det only made the playoffs 4 of 43 times. Their D might be better than 4. Chicago's D might be a little high.

    post-5893-0-56752300-1347196284_thumb.jp

    $$$

    post-5893-0-44103000-1347196293_thumb.jp

    Seattle makes the playoffs 65% of the time. They are rated 4,9 which isn't great, but maybe they have an easy schedule? They won more SBs than NYG. Something is off.
