Registration allowed same day but we'd prefer to know who is coming to pre-seed each pool. Rules: http://www.iowatecmo.com/rules.htm Format: Pool Play then Double-Elim Tournament. MINIMUM 6 competitive games per participant. Plenty of time/room to play games if you don't wish to be competitive. Prizes: Top finishers receive cash money - All entry fees are returned to player prize pool. Ex: 24 players X $20 per player = $480 prize pool. No skimming, no house take. After pool play and before bracket play we will have a player auction. Anyone wanting to bid/buy a player puts up the money and if that player wins the tourney, the bidder/owner wins the pot. Any players not purchased will be auctioned off as "the field". Players that were purchased can opt to "SPLIT" the cost and will split the winnings with the owner. Players can own themselves but obviously must outbid all others. Bidders/owners must be present to take home the cash and any bidder/owner not present at the conclusion of the tournament will forfeit the pot to the winning player. No, Phil knows about it. The Michael Anthony’s owner asked if I was still doing retro gaming tournaments. I figured I could keep this tournament there. I have a long term relationship with this neighborhood bar / pizzeria. Been going there since I was a kid. Gives a chance to my local friends to come out and enjoy the tournament even if most of them don’t play.
