Nesticle/Vista clash?

I think DOSBox might be a good solution. I used to use it for old DOS-based PC games that couldn't be run on XP.

Actually, now that I think about it, you'd probably be able to play nesticle on an intel-based mac by using a VM emu, running DOSBox, and then running nesticle.

Although, using DOSBox would require you to use a DOS version of nesticle, and I have no idea if it would work online, especially versus people using the windows version (0.42). DOSBox definitely supports online play from what I've read (direct IP), so it's just a matter of whether or not the two version mix, or if version x.xx works online at all.
