War6
The sprites for this ROM have been enhanced for those like me who have problems with their color vision or have a difficult time differentiating some of the sprites from the field turf and other on-screen chaos. List of changes: 1. All sprites have a black outline. 2. Socks & cleats are black. 3. Shadows removed. 4. All wristbands are white. 5. Neutral stance has been redrawn. 6. Some end zones were lightened to compensate for the black cleats (IND, CIN, PIT, RAI, SD, PHX, ATL, & NO). Note, these end zones utilize the snow game appearance in both fair & rainy weather. The attached ROM is the Original 1993 version without any hacks applied. All the incorporated changes enhance the visual appearance of the on-screen sprites and improves the overall visual presentation. If you find any anomalies with the sprites shoot a message over and I will correct the issue. Enjoy! Sheepdog/War6 Tecmo Super Bowl I.DXS.v2.0.smc Edited February 25, 2021 by War6 Updated a sprite. BAD_AL
Can you post a video or some pics to go along with this post?
War6
The pics are located in the SNES downloads section along with the current ROM. I plan on running through the sprites once more to polish it up a bit and then posting an update in a few weeks.
Knobbe
Bruddog also made a graphic hack where he put the NES sprites into the SNES rom. I'll be interested to look at comparison of your version vs this and the OG at some point
War6
I do like the NES sprites and the hack was pretty sweet; however, I had an even harder time trying to differentiate the sprites from the field as well. When the SNES version was released back in 1993 I was somewhat disappointed with the sprites; yet, I did get used to them over time. Again, my vision is all over the place so I decided to alter the preexisting sprites so I could actually see the sprite movements appropriately. This altered version is exactly what I needed and hopefully you guys like them as well. I plan on running through the sprite sheet once more to tweak and edit a few things...once that is done, I will upload a new version.
