    • QB Brad Johnson: 106/182 (58%) passing for 2,688 yards w 35 TDs & 5 ints. 164.7 rating. SF 49ers 13-3 wildcard in NFC best QB in league this season last year's MVP
    • RB Garrison Hearst: 235 rushes for 2,192 yards w/ 28 TDs (9.3 yards per carry) + 10 recs for 98 yards w/ 1 rec TD. Sea Seahawks 9-7 AFC East champs. Led league rush yards
    • RB Bobby Humphrey: 195 rushes for 1,915 yards w/ 21 TDs (9.8 yards per carry) + 42 recs for 710 yards & 2 rec TDs. NY Giants 7-9 workhorse RB
    • WR Johnnie Morton: 50 receptions for 2,587 yards (51.7 yards per catch) w/ 36 TDs. TB Bucs 5-11 Morton was top WR this season all from 44ms 63rec
  2. 2. Defense

    • DL Simeon Rice: 23 tackles & 13 sacks. Oak Raiders 2-14 DL broke single game record w/ 9 sacks in 1 game. Best DL in the league this season.
    • DB Ray Buchanan: 68 tackles & 22 interceptions. GB Packers 12-4 AFC Central Champs + broke the single season INT record that was 19 & got 3 more
    • DB Donnie Abraham: 77 tackles & 20 interceptions & 1 sack. NO Saints 11-5 wildcard team in playoffs + broke single season int record of 19 too.

congrats @stalltalk / GB Packers on Ray’s 2nd MVP award of career to go along w/ his 1993 Rookie of the Year Award, 6x Pro Bowl, & 5x All Pro recognition.

With 5 votes left to go SF QB Brad Johnson has the MVP award locked up for the 2nd season in a row! 


He joins Dan Marino as the only Offensive players to repeat as MVP & is now the 10th MVP award winner for the SF 49ers  w/ Dan Marino's 5 (1988, 1990 - 1993), DB Mike Haynes (1980), & DB Lonnie Young (1994  & 1997) 


 (LT won 3 D MVP awards in a row 1986 - 1988)
