Really late reply for you here, but the reason is you're missing the SRM file. Rename this with the same name as your .zip or .smc game file and place it in the same folder your Roms are in and it will work.

Can anyone explain to me how the decompressor works? It has a bunch of tiles located in a notepad file but I'm uncertain how to modify. I have been trying to figure out how to edit colours and images in the game. I can show my recoloring of text on the intro lol
