If he can get through a season with the Jets at this age he truly is one of the great running backs of all time

I'm surprised they even signed him, considering they have Le'Veon Bell.

I imagine they’re trying to limit Bell’s touches in-between the tackles in the red zone. Bell was a bad pickup by the Jets no matter what way you shake it. He was their only productive player last year. Another year or two of the 2019 season, and Bell will be lucky to come out of it alive.

And the rookie Perine will be in the mix for touches too. Adam Gase is not a Bell fan at all either and will not make changes to his offensive scheme to fit what Bell does best. Here's a good article that sheds some light on the issues with Bell and Gase:

IMO Gase isn't the offensive genius people try to make him out to be. A good coach adapts his scheme to his player's strengths. Gase is stuck doing the only thing he knows how to do.

Melvin Gordon with the sick San Diego football fan burn. :D:D:D

"Bro, we didn't have fans anyway," Gordon said while laughing. "We didn't have many Chargers fans at the game. I'm just going to be honest. We didn't have many Chargers fans at the game. Much loyalty, love, but we didn't have many. So I'm not missing anything."

This guy was singlehandedly the front office reason that the Colts ate shit during the Andrew Luck years. This guy has earned so many more jeers than he’s been given. I’m truly sorry, Cleveland Browns fans.

Seems obvious there is too much money involved with the NFL to not have a season. When will it start and what will it look like?

As someone with close ties to Broadway, I can say that most smaller live event producers are looking to the sports leagues and Disney live events to really determine the direction here. They have not done this outside of generalities as of yet. I’m sure every time they think the goal post has been set, new data, or a new world event throws them off. I’m sure that the goal post has already shifted many times.

What my gut tells me is that they try to pull this off on a normal season schedule starting in early September, and with a partial crowd in attendance. My gut also tells me that an outbreak of COVID-19 re-emerges because of a similar kind of event, if not from an NFL game itself, which at least shuts down the live attendance aspects of this.

My bottom line is that until there is a vaccine associated with this, or unless we as a society decide that we’re willing to risk the lives of the vulnerable in a survival of the fittest sense, then I don’t see live sporting or entertainment events ever being conducted in the same manner again.

I really don't see how they're going to pull off opening the NFL without serious, serious changes to personnel process. It's just unfathomable to me that there won't be outbreaks of COVID-19 throughout team lockerrooms.

I've been in shock for the past two days. What world am I in? Don't get me wrong, the Hoodie got Cam on a steal deal, but still... What the f*ck is going on in the NFL these days. If Cam winds up sticking with the team, and if he ascends to have actual playing time this year, the Hoodie & Josh McDaniels are going to run that dude into the ground on his veteran minimum salary. Taking into consideration this WR core currently, I can foresee them using Cam in all of the right ways, which means putting him at serious risk this year on this veteran minimum.

What a weird, weird year.

I have a hunch this Cam Newton signing is not going to pan out exactly as hoped.

Then again, I also believe that the Buccaneers are going to underachieve.  And that's assuming we even have a season.  In fact, the only way the Saints or the Bucs will even make the playoffs is if, once again, the Atlanta Falcons grossly underachieve.

So in the NFC South, here's what I like the most:

1.  Saints (because they do have other options in case the worst happens to Drew Brees and he begins to fall apart)

2.  Falcons (if they can get their act together, they can get back to playoff contention)

3.  Buccaneers (because Brady's a talent magnet, and the universe hates us)

4.  Panthers (any semblance that remained of their glorious 2015 season is officially dead)

I'm so out of the loop on some things. I only now just read about Alex Smith's injury in 2018. He got the same injury as Joe Theismann, literally broke his leg, and then had complications that Theismann didn't have and almost died. They also considered cutting his leg off to save his life. They managed to save him without doing that, and now he wants to play this season! That's crazy.
