If we're doing picks this yr here's mines for wk 1 where pretty much I'm going all faves: Chi, Cle, KC, NYJ, Bal, LAC, Sea, Phl, Mn, LAR, Dal, Det, NE, NO, and TB & Oak as the pick ems.

Enjoy the season.

I know it's late (13:32ET, and games start @ 13:00ET) - and I already got the GB/chi game wrong (because I didn't pick it) - but I'm just going to pick the teams that I WANT to Win, and see if I do any better than my average average season %:

CAR>lar, TEN>cle, JAX>k.c, MIA>bal, ATL>min, NYJ>buf, PHI>wak, LAC>ind, SEA>cin, ARZ>det, GIA>cow, SF>tb, PIT>ne, NO>hou, DEN>oak

Good job, Jets.

I had this on, while you biffed it.]

Good call, Jets fans:

Seriously.  I'd be all for Carli becoming our Kicker.

Lord Nose she got potential

(I'll give Vedvik benefit of the doubt, though:

actual "turning point" was Maye dropping that very makeable interception. But at least he know it... Ah well. Only Week 1.)

My thoughts on a few teams after most of Week 1:

Miami: Clearly convinced Flores is tanking on purpose to A. Try and get Tua from Alabama and B. To make it a cakewalk for Belichick. Let's face it, why would one of his disciples stay in the same division if he wanted to win? Most of the players involved in the Miami Miracle are gone, with Drake the only one left. Take that to mean nothing if you will, but i find it convenient.

Cleveland: Oh yes, how the overhyped tend to end up hoisted on their own petard. Serves some browns fans right for over hyping them before the season.

Kansas City: Worrysome injuries to both Mahomes and Hill. Mahomes will need to be careful on his ankle as to not over exert himself, while Hill will be out a while. Good thing we drafted Hardman.

Way to go Bill and the Patriots for pretty much sending the message its okay to bitch and moan about fines and  commit some antics to escape a contract. POS doesn't even deserve to be in the league.

He deserves to be in the league a hell of a lot more than an actual POS like Tyreek Hill.

But is Tyreek truly a POS? Especially after the full recording came out, not the hack job that his ex sent to discredit him. In fact, if any thing she's the POS in that, as she tried to illegally entrap him with a recording in Dubai.  Both the DA in Johnson County and the NFL found no conclusive evidence he did any of that.

We'll never really know what went down:

Legal issues

Domestic assault conviction

Stillwater police records indicate that on December 12, 2014, Hill was arrested on complaints of assault of his 20-year-old pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. The police report states that Espinal said the two got into an argument and he threw her around like a ragdoll, punched her in the face, sat on her and repeatedly punched her in the stomach, and choked her.[70] Oklahoma State dismissed him from the football team after the charges.[71]

Hill eventually pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation and was sentenced to three years of probation, an anger-management course, a year-long batterer's program, and was required to undergo a domestic-abuse evaluation, a sentence that Espinal was consulted about and comfortable with.[24][72] Espinal eventually gave birth to a boy.[21][73]

Child abuse investigation

In March 2019, Hill was investigated for alleged battery after an incident in which his three-year-old son sustained a broken arm.[74] The following month, his son was placed into care temporarily as a result of an emergency hearing conducted by the Kansas Department of Children and Families.[75] On April 24, the Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe released a statement, saying that his office believed a crime had been committed but the evidence did not allow them to conclude the perpetrator, and that the Kansas Department of Children and Families continued to investigate.[75] The following day, an audio recording of Hill and Espinal discussing the injury to their son and the subsequent investigation was released.[75] In the recording that surfaced, Hill and his fiancée discuss their son's broken arm, she said that their son is scared of him, to which Hill responds “You should be afraid of me too....”[76] As a result, the criminal investigation into Hill was re-opened.[77] On June 7, prosecutors announced the case against Hill was inactive.[78] On June 10, reports surfaced that medical investigations showed his son’s arm was broken by accident and in a way that indicated it was broken bracing for a fall.[79] On July 9, 2019, the full unedited audio from the recording was released. In the full audio, Hill accuses Espinal of lying about the domestic violence accusations in 2014 and about Hill breaking their son’s arm.[80] The NFL stated they have always had the full audio of the recording.[81] On July 19, 2019, the NFL released a statement saying that Hill will not be suspended and that they found no evidence that Hill violated the personal conduct policy, but the incident will be re-examined if new evidence emerges.[82]

The way I look at it if he's been absolved from any crimes then it's time to move on. Sounds like lots of drama with his ex. Its the bitches that'll getcha.

Relative to the possibility that Brown orchestrated his way off the Raiders?  Yessir.  Feel free to add Brown to the POS list with guys like John Elway and Eli Manning if this is how you rank character.

I would not be surprised if AP is released or demands a trade.

I'll give you that. Though, in any regards, there's a bit of a difference between flatout refusing to play for the Chargers [Manning], threatening to play for the Yankees [Elway] and flat out throwing a hissy fit over fines that the party knew would void his guarantees. If Brown didn't want to play for the Raiders at all, he could've not signed the new deal in 2017 and sat out then on the Steelers.

Wait...didn't Brown get traded to the Raiders? It's not like he signed with them as a free agent. The Steelers sent him to a team they felt wasn't going to contend. They originally had a deal in place with Buffalo but they backed out after Brown wasn't willing to go there. He then orchestrated the hissy fits of drama to get out of Oakland and go to the Patriots. Watch him become a model Patriot now and have an All-Pro year.

I didn't know all that about Hill. The Univ. of West Alabama should not have allowed him to play football. Without that, he doesn't get a chance to go to the pros. Fucking POS is an understatement.

I don't think Brown did anything to get booted out of the league, I just think he's a garden variety asshole. Also, I hate the Patriots.

Who did the Raiders piss off? Their schedule coming up is BRUTAL....vs Chiefs, at Vikings, at Colts, vs Bears, at Packers, at Texans. We'll find out real fast if they are legit or not.

I'd take losses to the Chiefs and Vikings at this point, but I think they have a good shot at beating the rest. 5-2 to start the season would be great, even 4-3 would be acceptable.
