Nothing hurts right now.  You can go to any sports site right now and find out the truth.  Pats won.

Just be happy you got away with another win, Pats/fans.

No thanks.  But how about this.  You Pats haters can keep telling yourselves whatever makes you feel better.  Spygate, deflategate, Brady sucks, Atlanta should have intercepted 32% of Tom's passes, Pats could be 0-7, yada yada.

And us Pats fans can enjoy what was the most epic season and Super Bowl comeback in history, where Brady gets ultimate redemption for being wrongly suspended, while becoming the 1st QB to win 5 Super Bowls.

Personally, for a dynasty that has spanned 17 years and counting, I think the rest of the league should be happy the Pats only have 5.

You keep spewing non-sense jive, so I'll say it again:

Just be happy you got away with the win, Pats/fans.

Furthermore, B12 was in my dream, overnite.

I congratulated him on the win.

NOTE:  he was reclined on a lawnchair, tanning himself indoors; it was weird. But I had no urge to ride his hymen

I am about to pull out the Tailback-King/Johnny Johnson card for Brady:  If you're too stupid to understand Brady's greatness, it's your problem, not mine.

side note:  I actually did have a dream this morning where I was telling somebody about a dream I had just had (within the dream), except I was lying to them a little about the dream (I was purposefully leaving out some key details of the dream).

I mean... I can do this all year.  I was MIA for a bit so I need to make up for lost time.  Pats haters can keep feeling however they want and I will continue laughing about it.

Here's how to accept a loss like a man and not make up fake scenarios to make yourself feel better.

Well the rich get richer don't they? I'm the biggest dynasty hater btw so comments that come from the likes of Colin Cowherd and Bob Costas can be quite unenjoyable for me even though they're men who I respect.

Having put in the statement 'Would like first OT ever but seriously doubt it' before the game started (2016-17 thread), once it did get there for an epic 1st time I couldn't believe what I said.

However, this didn't really feel like a true Super Bowl game. To come back from 20+ points down to send a game to overtime is the stuff that happens in just about every regular season. That is NOT supposed to happen in Super Bowls. If someone asked you for an example of what an outlier is please use the example of SB LI because the other biggest deficit to overcome in a Super Bowl is just 10 points which has happened 3 times in history.

Whether this game was the biggest choke job in sports history, I won't really participate in that debate. But I would like to point out that there has been a trend of choke jobs in sports lately. There was the NBA Finals and the World Series last year where teams blew 3-1 series leads. Then just over a month ago in the college football championship Alabama squandered a late 3rd quarter 10 point lead to Clemson that was high as 14 early in the 2nd. Villanova could've been in that club to get it all started but they sure knew how to pushback at the opponent (UNC).

^ I would agree with you that comeback typically doesn't happen in Super Bowls, but for the ugly reason that 31 of 51 Super Bowls have been decided by a lead of 10 points or more, and 25 of 51 Super Bowls decided on 14 points or more. The history of close games in the Super Bowl is not a long one. Fans have been very fortunate in the past several years, minus a few embarrassing blowouts sprinkled in.

I'll add historic comeback victory in OT over a blowout any day.

I wish I had the graphic for it, but one of my favorite useless stats coming out of the Super Bowl is pass attempts by Super Bowl QBs. No surprise for a variety of reason including the pass-happy NFL these days, and number of Super Bowl appearances combined, but Brady is beating all other Super Bowl QBs in total cumulative pass attempts by far more than double. Can't remember who is second, either Joe Montana or Jim Kelly, but the differential is ridiculous.

On an individual game basis, Brady passed 62 times in Super Bowl 51. Joe Montana passed 29 times in one of his Super Bowl wins. Crazy difference.

Terry Bradshaw and Russel Wilson are only beaten in least passing attempts by a winning QB in a Super Bowl (21) by Jim McMahon (20).

just imagine....Blot standing on the sideline of the Super Bowl football field, his heart racing, looking up at the crowd, hearing the cheers, the jeers, the utter chaos, lada gaga's breasts on his mind, Blot is lost in the moment, loving it, loving life....then.....FUCKIN-ZAP!  OWCH!  Brady shoots a perfect spiral from 50 yards diagonal, a football tightly wrapped with Arthur Blank's well-aged "hymen", straight into Blot's face...Right on Target, Tom...a few of Blot's pearly-whites eject from his mouth, the "hymen" partially tears from the football, and pieces of this "hymen" conveniently fill the bloody gaps.

Blowing a 3-1 lead is child's play!

Who would you take in the draft if you need a running back? Leonard Fournette or Dalvin Cook?

I think that Fournette might be cooked (in the head), but even assuming he still has good football left.....Cook all day, in my book.  Cook just seems like a better pro (and college, btw) runner to me, and more valuable to an NFL team in general.

All things equal health-wise I'm taking Fournette. If a team checks him out and has any reservations about his ability to stay healthy, it's a lot safer to go Cook. People overlook the ability to stay on the field Emmett Smith brought to the table when evaluating his greatness.

In case you haven't heard by now, they're making a Patriots Super Bowl run movie. Even I think this is a bad idea.

malcolm butler?  lol.  I hate to say it, but there must be some racial/class-war type of angle to this film.  I'm getting too cynical in my old age.  but it's too easy to see it coming.  nothing against him, I think he's a solid DB, and that game-winning play in the SEA SB was 100% bad ass.

but, why not do 1999 rams kurt warner?  pretty much the same thing, except x1000.

      Week 2's now in the books.  Now it's time to pick the Week 3 games.  I'm gonna follow schedule from Tecmonster's 2018-2019 rom from now on, so here's what I've got:

      New York Jets @ Cleveland Browns
      New Orleans Saints @ Atlanta Falcons
      Green Bay Packers @ Washington Redskins
      Indianapolis Colts @ Philadelphia Eagles
      Buffalo Bills @ Minnesota Vikings
      Oakland Raiders @ Miami Dolphins
      Denver Broncos @ Baltimore Ravens
      Cincinnati Bengals @ Carolina Panthers
      New York Giants @ Houston Texans
      Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
      San Francisco 49ers @ Kansas City Chiefs
      Los Angeles Chargers @ Los Angeles Rams
      Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks
      Chicago Bears @ Arizona Cardinals
      New England Patriots @ Detroit Lions
      Pittsburgh Steelers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

      So come on in!

      @gojiphen malor
      @Knobbe
      @BigCat71
      @manYo720
      @Miles Prower

      Also, for future reference, if you don't specify who's going to win by game time, it counts as a loss against you.  If you honestly cannot bring yourself to guess right away, you have until the games start to come up with a winner.  Or you can be the gutsy one and call a tie.

      Anyways, I'll make my picks later.  I need to think about my choices before I settle on anything concrete.

      Time for Week 2, everybody!  Here are this week's games:

      Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
      Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons
      Los Angeles Chargers @ Buffalo Bills
      Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers
      Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
      Cleveland Browns @ New Orleans Saints
      Miami Dolphins @ New York Jets
      Kansas City Chiefs @ Pittsburgh Steelers
      Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
      Indianapolis Colts @ Washington Redskins
      Arizona Cardinals @ Los Angeles Rams
      Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers
      Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos
      New England Patriots @ Jacksonville Jaguars
      New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys
      Seattle Seahawks @ Chicago Bears

      Make your picks!  Here's mine!

      Ravens, Panthers, Chargers, Packers, Texans, Saints, Jets, Chiefs, Eagles, Redskins, Rams, 49ers, Broncos, Patriots, Giants, and Bears.

      Survival pick for this week would have to be the Saints or 49ers.  A lot of tossup games this week as well.  Though the biggest question mark is the Packers.  If Aaron Rodgers is ruled out for the week, I'm gonna change my pick to the Vikings.

      Edit:  I changed one of my picks.  Instead of thinking the Falcons will win, I am now leaning more towards Carolina.  Hopefully, I don't regret that pick.  And since Aaron Rodgers is back out on the practice field, I am still leaning more towards Green Bay.  But if he ends up getting ruled out tomorrow, I'm gonna change my pick to Minnesota.  Everything else will be left as is.
