Tecmo-Mad-Brad
My goal here is to build relationships with local game stores in the area. I'm trying to offer a little bit of exposure for them, and show them I'm serious about putting on more future Omaha tournaments. In return I could certainly use their help to promote my events. It's the idea I came up with, and so far the 1st place I approached was interested. I'm putting my own money on the line here, so they really have nothing to lose. I'd like to get in 10+ games during my 5 hour run. Pop Culture Exchange owner is looking forward to this, and hopefully it drives in some decent traffic and sales to their store that day. There are 2 other local shops here that I'm going to approach as well. It's also another bargaining chip in my pocket when I go back to Beercade management and pitch another Tecmo Bowl tourney. I can show them that I'll have a lot more backing and reach in the gaming community to hopefully boost our numbers. Another added benefit is that it gives me some more reps with random guys, as I get ready for the Houston tournament. I'm always looking for a different approach that someone may have for me to be ready for it....or to simply absorb and implement into my game. I'm trying to be The Borg of Tecmo Bowl here.
