Thanks, and I hope that your son liked the highlight video!

I could watch Bo all day man. That dude was such a freak of nature. My son doesn't get it at all. He just sees me working on Madison stuff and thinks Bo is cool. He told a friend at church recently that I am super rich because I have tons of Bo Jackson cards. 😂😂

So this isn't my usual 15+ minute video, but I found a few Barry Sanders highlights while making my Thurman Thomas video. I figured I'd throw them together and release them anyways. One of these days, I'll find all of his 1988 games and create the ultimate Barry Sanders video.

Man, Barry had that spin move! Awesome. So rare.

Crazy that Thurman and Barry were there at the same time. I wore a lot of OSU gear as a kid back then.

Where's my damn Johnny Johnson video @PockyCandy ??????  Did you think by just ignoring one of the Greatest of All Time in Tecmo, College football, & the National Football League, that the need for this video to make your highlight video career complete, would just disappere?????  Well it won't.  You'll have to digg DEEP!!!  Making & completing this video will be the measuring stick to all the young aspiring college football video makers in the future!.....not to mention putting the icing on the cake to your brilliant "ALMOST" legendary video making career!  The best things witnessed in life are hard to find, like a whale spouting water, a grand slam home run, a Hail Mary touchdown, a Lamborgini Veneno, a horse with two tails, a fine woman who cooks and cleans, a Seahawks Championship,.. you get it???  Take a good long look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, "am I good enough? am I smart enough? do people like me?"...I'll tell ya this, after this video's complete, it won't matter, because "Legends" don't give a f*%k.

Yeah, he's the only player I've ever seen who could consistently pull off those jukes and spins on a regular basis. Not just every game, but on almost every run, he put some sort of move on a defender that made your jaw drop. Even his 4 yard runs were sensational. Saquon Barkley actually comes the closest from the backs I've watched (at least on the collegiate level).

Yeah, the amount of depth those OK State teams had was exceptional on offense. Thurman Thomas and Sanders for a couple of years, and Hart Lee Dykes and Mike Gundy were terrific for all 3 years of Sander's career there. Their defense was crap though :(

So you're saying it's never gonna happen???????????????????????? :)

It's a work-in-progress.

In other news, I've started a Marcus Lattimore video, and he was basically a Marshawn Lynch clone. Was well-built but not huge, and didn't have great speed either. But both just broke a ton of tackles and grinded out solid run after solid run.

Lattimore was nothing like Lynch.....Marcus was a WAY smoother runner stylisticly and could catch a hell of a lot better.  Yes they both broke tackles and that's about the end of the comparison.  You should probably watch the video's of these guys again and you'll find that Lattimore was a down hill slashing north to south style runner (Johnson, Eddie George-ish) while Lynch seems to rather juke and shimmy, (Sanders, Natrone Means-ish) and to me waste a lot of motion.  Don't get me wrong, I love Marshawn, especially when he was with the Bills and my Seahawks, but they're programmed differently.

I'm going to disagree with you on that one. Lattimore was very prone to juking and cutting, especially in his freshman season before his knee injuries. Lynch and Lattimore looked like clones. Of course, I just finished his freshman year, so maybe he lost that after his knee injury.

Was Ismail 20 years before Ismail did his thing, and was Harvin before Harvin was even born. Also, check out those prehistoric "spread formations". Basically just a single-back formation with two WRs and a HB put in as a slotback.  .

^^^ @PockyCandy ...I can't help but watch this video and feel sad.  Lattimore was the "Total Package".  Size, enough speed, perfect field vision, Johnny Johnson like hands, great stride, all the power in the world...this is the guy we would ALL be talking about on Sundays right now.

......(10 minutes later) I'v only watched 10 minutes of this vid and It's already one of the best I think you've made...that reception at 9:41 shows off all the things that made him one of the best players on the planet.....wow, just wow.....a defensive coodinators' NIGHTMARE.

......Well $#!t, I wasn't gonna watch the whole thing, but I just couldn't push stop.  A great video for a great player who's career was cut down to early.  You should really try to find a way to have him see this.......He would appreciate it.

                                       {p.s.  ...and thanx for havin' the class to not show the last play of his career vs Tennessee}

Yeah, I wasn't going to show his final play against TN. That was one of the worst injuries I've ever seen.

As for Gurley and Bell, I actually asked my subscribers to pick between Gurley and Lattimore:

They picked Lattimore, but I'll probably get around to making a Gurley video at some point. I do hope to put a Bell video together soon though.

@PockyCandy...I really hope you realized the difference between Lattimore, Gurley, then the other fly by night guys you showed.....runners like Lattimore, Gurley, and Bell only come around about once every 10 years......It just so happened that there were "3" in 2012 that really caught my eye, (Lattimore & Bell were the real two that got me back into it in 2010...Gurley came a couple years later, but no less amazing) and they actually made me start paying attention to college football again.......people who don't get it usually say "there's always gonna be somebody"..........the I usually say "no there isn't", because there hasn't been any Tailbacks like them in college football since.

{p.s.   .......but like Yoda said........"there is another"  The only reason I'm even mentioning this right now is because Tecmo.org keeps dates. and I just wanna tell you, and anybody else who cares about the future of "the running game" in the NFL...there's a Johnny Johnson clone (and I do NOT just throw that analogy around) from my hometown in his fifth year of college, who's career has been riddled with injury, but never the less is another example of a "total package" and a real Tailback........his name is Thomas Tyner, and will probably be playing for the Oregon State Beavers again next year..... Long story short, he was recruited by the Oregon Ducks and had a devastating shoulder injury that actually forced him to retire from football all together (much like Lattimore) except a shoulder is eazyer to come back from than a knee, which is everything to a runningback...but before the injury, he put together a nice repertoire of highlights for the Ducks that even a novice to the game of football would realize how good or great a player he was or could be...............google his highlights, then in a year, you can pretend like everybody else that you knew about him all along ;) )

........I figured since I told ya about this guy, I might as well show some of his highlights as a "freshman" mind you, and save you, and whoever else watches this the trouble of searching for him...

@buck Watch the first two unedited clips, and then compare them to the edited clips that follow. I did some serious color correction and sped up the videos as well, so it looked more like Walter Payton running the football during a real-time broadcast, rather than him slowly moving across the screen in an aging highlight reel.

And yeah, I added some classic Sam Spence tunes, because NFL Films has some of the best music outside of heavily copyrighted Anime OSTs.
