A bunch of 1-off SIMs I did Saturday for the upcoming Conference Championships, using 4 stellar 2014-15 roms:

 

 

qbvikes:  Seahawks 28-20,  Patriots 35-7

 

monster:  Packers 42-27,  Patriots 34-17

 

tborg:  Seahawks 28-21,  Colts 34-24

 

drummer:  Seahawks 42-17,  Colts 21-14

 

 

 

*all 6-minute quarters, in preseason mode, COM vs. COM, with the Home-team as "Player 1"

While not necessarily a competition - and trust me, 1-off SIMULATION is only one way to "judge" a Rom - of the completed 2015 regular-season games so far, the best Rom at predicting games is:

 

QBVIKES,  at 7-3  {with 3 games coming closest in terms of actual point-differential};  followed by,

 

TBORG,  at 4-6  {with 4 games closest in point-differential};  followed by,

 

MONSTER,  at 3-7  {with 3 games closest in point-differential.}

I realized that through 24 matchups simmed, all 3 ROMs were exactly 50% at predicting game-winning teams, so I moved on to another Test:

 

 

This one involved AUTO SKIP simming the 2015-16 Season, through Week 8 ...

 

 

TBORG (revD) came out on top, with 4 Division-Leading teams right;  followed by Tecmonster;  followed by QBV.

Relative to real-life Prospective 2015-16 Playoff teams [through Week 8], it was a consensus 4-team Playoff - in COM v COM mode - between Green Bay & Arizona, New England & Indianapolis, for all 3 ROMs.

 

For the conference Champions, I even re-simmed the consensus SB matchup for two of the ROMs (Tborg_revD, and Monster), and the respective score-differentials - and winning teams - came out exactly the same, for each ROM.  I like that level of consistency.

What's more, it indicates that if you SIM those matchups for yourself, you should get similar results.

 

I won't necessarily tell you who won the Mid-Season SB, but do yourself a favor and get those ROMs - especially Tecmonster's TSB 2016 and TSB 2015-16 QBV Juiced.nes2 - and watch the Packers (1) vs. Patriots (2) go at it....  It will be the SIM of your life.

Some early Tecmo PLAYOFF prognostications suggest ...

 

 

 

AUTO SKIP simming the 2015-16 regular season:

 

Tecmonster and TBORG (revD) come out on top, each with 7 Playoff teams (incl. 4 Division-Winners) right;  followed by QBV, with 6 (and 2 Div.-Winning teams).

 

 

Relative to real-life PLAYOFF teams, it's a consensus 4-team Playoff - in COM vs. COM mode - between CAR & SEA, DEN & HOU, for all 3 Roms

 

 

... Ever the contrarian, QBVikes ROM picks exactly the OPPOSITE Conference Champions to the other two Roms.  Here're their scores:
