They just have to be 18 years of age. One player at Swamp Bowl was 20yr old, not sure why they denied entry for brother in law and I was unaware of it. Had I known I would have made sure he got in, so next time let me know if you have any issues. Also I have already discussed this issue with the owner so we are good there.

Was a good tournament that had all moments. Comebacks, Overtime games, XFL LIVE league games and even had rage quit......

Group 1:

BgBoud - 3-0

Sam J. - 2-1

David - 1-2

Josh W. - 0-3

Group 2:

SuicideKing - 3-0

Ashman - 2-1

Armand - 1-2

Joe V.- 0-3

Group 3:

Chad N. - 3-0

Nos - 2-1

Sparkle(female player) - 1-2

Brian A. - 0-3

Seeding for double elimination bracket:

1. BgBoud first round bye

2. Chad N. first round bye

3. SuicideKing

4. Nos

5. Ashman

6. Sam J.

In the bracket I drew Ashman in opening round as I did in group play (I won in group play in a DAL/NYJ matchup, I was NYJ, comeback from 14 down for an OT win). I pulled a matchup card (Thanks Mort) and it was a SF/NYG matchup. He chose SF. I receive and play ball control using the almost the whole first quarter and score. Ensuing kickoff is fumbled and I recover and say to Ashman "Joe and Jerry can't beat me if they're not on the field". Next play I score, 14-0 NYG. He answers by marching down and scoring to make it a 7 point game. With under a min left I get ball and decide to try for a JJ, but it turns out to be a catch fumble and SF picks it up but they fumble it right back and the NYG OL is off to the races as Ashman lost mobility in his man defender and kept saying "I can't move!!! I can't move!!!" . I almost score but get caught inside the 10. Halftime. Second half we traded scores and I'm up 21-14 in the 4th. He has ball with roughly 3 mins left. He ends up facing a 4th and shorting the RedZone and Jerry is able to catch a CC to convert after being shut down all game long. Next play is a TD. 21-21 tie. I get ball with 30 sec left but fail on a JJ bomb. OT I win toss and I'm able to get just past midfield and face a 4th down, I decide to kick FG, its bounces off the uprights and it goes through. 24-21 OT win.

Nos beats Sam J. convincingly to advance

I play BgBoud in a TB/SD matchup, I pick SD. I go down 14-0 early. I get on the board right before half to cut the lead to 7. He receives 2nd half kick, a few plays later I get an INT on a called play. I waste no time an punch it in the endzone within a couple of plays. 14 all tie. At this point BgBoud is getting a bit on edge as I have came back to tie the game. Boud's next drive is filled with some good moments as he converted a few 3rd and semi long plays but the big conversion came on 4th down just outside the 5 yard line where he converts and scores to begin the 4th. 21-14 BgBoud.  From this point it was all Boud, he played great D to finish me off while adding another score. 28-14 BgBoud.

Nos beats Chad in a good game, I didn't see it but the score was pretty close. I'm sure Nos will fill in that game.

Sam J. is my next opponent with me now in the loser's bracket. Sam calls a DEN/KC matchup I choose DEN. This game was a bit of near perfection for Sam as Okoye ran for 200+ yards and De Berg threw for 150+ yards with 100% completion, but somehow I was able to squeeze out a win........ We traded scores all game long. He blocked one of my XP attempts. He had ball last and I was able to hold him off for a 27-21 win.

Nos beat BgBoud, I'll let them elaborate on it.

Ashman beats Chad.......3rd quarter rage quit

Ashman and I play for the 3rd time this tournament (Group game OT 27-21 win for me, first round bracket play mentioned above). I choose DAL/NYJ matchup. Ashman chooses NYJ. Defensive battle here. I drive down inside the 5 and I am denied in 4 downs. Ashman punts, I punt. Ashman drives down and tries an FG before half and its BLOCKED!!!!  I take over and complete a pass down to the 2 yard line with 2 sec left, I quick pick a play but Ashman's RedZone D holds again, 0-0 at the half. Ashman receives and drives down for a score 7-0 lead all the while eating away almost the entire 3rd. I drive down again inside the 5. On 3rd down Ashman gets a line of scrimmage JJ INT with his man controlled defender...... Lights out D by Ashman. Ashman's next possession he takes it in for a score to go up 14-14. Mid 4th quarter I get ball and need points so everywhere is 4 down territory. I drive near midfield where the D stiffens and forces a turnover on downs. Mop up TD makes it 21-0 in a game where Ashman played excellent defense. I was eliminated.

Ashman beats BgBoud, in another great defensive performance. They'll elaborated on details.

Nos vs. Ashman Final!!!

I'll let Nos and Ashman tell this tale...... Hint....... double OT

Fun tournament.

I'll provide a recap of my games.

Pool Play

Game 1

Nos (Chiefs) vs. Chad (Bears)

I take a 21-14 lead into the 4th quarter of what was an extremely close game throughout.  In the 4th, Chad scores and forces a pick and scores again for the 28-21 victory.  He played pretty great in this one, but it was anyone's game.  Chad ran 39 times in this one.

Game 2

Nos vs. Sparkle

I was Tampa Bay, but I don't remember the matchup.  Lost the coin toss, so it was chosen from the tier cards.  I win on the mercy rule 28-0 in the second quarter.

Game 3

Nos vs. Brian

Again, don't remember the matchup.  It was chosen from the tier cards, as I lost another coin toss.  I win on mercy rule 35-7 in the second quarter.

Double Elimination Bracket Play

Game 1

Nos (Vikings) vs. Sam (Redskins)

I win the toss and call a Vikings - Redskins matchup and Sam selects the Redskins.  This game was close for most of the first half, with the game tied at 7.  A flurry of turnovers from the Redskins and some good defense allows me to run away with this one in the second half.  I win 31-7.

Game 2

Nos (Dolphins) vs. Chad (Vikings)

I lose the toss, and Chad calls a Dolphins - Vikings matchup, and I select the Dolphins.  I am able to run just enough with Smith to keep Chad honest.  I take a 17-7 lead into the 4th quarter with some nice work with Marino, but the play of the game was Chad, who avoided the rush with Wilson, outgrappling two CPU defenders while I am seemingly covering the whole field with Williams, to cycle through his receivers two full rotations and score on the 80+ yard TD to make it 17-14 with 3 minutes to go.  I drive mixing short passes and runs with Marino / Smith to take up the rest of the game, ending inside Chad's 10 yard line to seal the victory.  I win 17-14.

Game 3

Nos (Chargers) vs. Boud (Bucs)

I lose the toss, and Brent calls a Bucs - Chargers matchup, and I select the Chargers.  I receive and begin moving the ball with Butts.  On an attempted quick throw with Tolliver,a CPU drone other than Haddix gets the JJ interception.  The Bucs offense was pretty stagnant in this game.  Boud seemed determined to succeed with R & S run 3, and Byrd at DB2 completely shut it down throughout the game.  I am able to move the ball effectively with Tolliver / Butts, and combined with the nonexistent TB running game, I take a 21-0 lead in the second half.  My offense then becomes a run run pass deep with Tolliver, resulting in three interceptions that functioned as punts.  I win 21-0.  I think Boud fumbled once as well.

Game 4 -- Championship Game

Nos (Saints) vs. Ashman (Cardinals)

I lose the toss, and Dave calls a Saints - Cardinals matchup, and I select the Saints.  The game began as a defensive struggle for both teams, trading punts to a 0-0 game after 1.  I am able to muster some offense and take a 14-0 lead into the late 3rd quarter.  Ashman gets the TD on a nice drive to make it 14-7.  Fourcade throws a pick to McDonald as Ashman played some nice D, and the Cardinals are able to score to make it 14-14 at the end of regulation.  In OT, the Saints win the toss but are forced to punt at around the 40 yard line, starting a string of 3 and outs.  The Cardinals are forced to punt, and the Saints are forced to punt, and the game is headed to 2nd OT.  The Cardinals win the toss and receive.  Another punt.  The Saints are able to move the ball enough with the passing game to allow a run 3 call to Hilliard, who takes it to the house from about 60 yards out.  Saints win 20-14 in double overtime.

I win the Cajun Classic, with a 6-1 tournament record on the day.

Thanks to Gerald (Suicideking81) for throwing another great tournament.  ArkLaTex may be looking a bit different in the next power rankings, now that my Tecmo rust at the time of the Swamp Bowl (2nd Place Finish after two losses to Boud) has officially been shaken off with this victory.

After the tournament, two XFL league games were played:

Game 1

Nos vs. Suicideking-- I win 26-0 allowing less than 100 yards total offense.

Game 2

Nos vs. Boud -- I win 23-14, and I don't remember much about this one save for Avery going into good in the 2nd half.  I kicked a field goal in the 4th to create the two score difference.

Finished at 8-1 on the day, with the only loss of the day in pool play avenged in the bracket.

The DB2 defense was on fire all day.

A couple of corrections...you won the toss and picked it and I chose good side (wasn't quite thinking of the Byrd factor).  I had already called this matchup in an earlier game vs Gerald.

I wasn't running the whole game, that was mainly late when it was probably over regardless.  But yeah I guess it's time to think of a "Nos rules" playbook and forget the run and shoot sweep.  I did lose two fumbles.  Once was on a called play shotgun completion to Hall on the drive in either first quarter or early second, and then the other was on the first drive of the second half when I might have made it a game.  I actually broke through on run 3 only to get caught by drones and fumble.

Forgot about your choosing the good side.  I knew I chose the Chargers.  Cool.  I do remember the 2nd fumble now.  I definitely got the nice end of the luck in this one.
