Keeps quarter scores intact if game goes to OT

Recommended Posts

This would be something useful for league box scores or TPC uploads. As you know if you go to overtime the scores for each quarter are erased.

Prevents quarter scores from being cleared in OT

SET(0x2215A,0xEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEAEA)

Shows full QTR scoreboard in OT TIE

SET(0x2217B,0x4E)

Shows full QTR scoreboard in OT WIN

SET(0x221C8,0x4E)

Makes it so score in OT only gets added to total for P1

SET(0x25359,0xB00D)

SET(0x2537A,0xB00D)

Just so I have a visualization of this in my head.

Currently after an OT game it shows the OT quarters score and then the final score?

Now it would show quarters 1-4 and you can gleam the 5th quarter via the final score?

Mostly for my own future reference, I think has one not-that-important gap: If a game goes to OT tied at 0-0, we can't distinguish if it went to OT 0-0 or the game's only score happened in the 1st quarter.

Edit: I think I was wrong.

My main issue was parsing an original game without the hack:

- It's tough to tell the difference between a game that was 0-0 going into OT from a game that had it's only score in the first quarter.

Without this hack…a game that goes into overtime has ALL the quarter scores cleared. So you have no idea what was scored in each qtr.

this hack keeps all the qtr scores intact and only updates the total score.

This gack lets you deduce what the score in OT was.

I am not totally sure, but I think if the game ends in a tie, it has the quarter scores intact, but once a score happens in OT then that issue shows up
