2 pt conversion test rom

The ROM that contains the 2 pt conversion and many other great hacks like switch sides every quarter, move to shotgun for any play while at the line of scrimmage, check defense conditions during game, better kneeling animations, etc. are only on an NES cartridge sold at tecmobowlers.com.  The hack isn't being shared because the one who coded it has a financial incentive to not share it, he's selling the cartridges with these hacks and an updated roster every year.  So, unless someone figures it out, we will not see these great hacks available on a shareable ROM anytime soon.

Yeah, I think that's messed up. If you want to package a cart and sell that, that's one thing. But to just keep a hack you found to yourself to try to make money off it, going around deleting all roms that have the specific hack, that's lame. Are they getting licensed by Tecmo? It's also illegal, then, if not. If people kept hacks to themselves when this site started, this community never would have went anywhere. When people first started hacking this game it was very much a community effort. Someone would find something and share it, then someone would build on it, and so on. Emuware made TSBManager and that made hacking the game a lot easier, then Bad Al made TSBTool and that was even better. Imagine if they charged to use those programs. Imagine if cxrom charged people to get a 32-team rom when he developed that. If people charged every time they found something useful, it would cost 600 bucks to make a Tecmo rom.

It is a shame, the work that was put into the hack is truly amazing.  I would consider it the best version I have ever seen.  Hopefully the coder shares the code for the hacks one day.
