**EDIT: It looks like it cut off the rest of the images I posted. Right-click on them and click view image. That should let you see the whole bracket.**

There is something you guys might not know about me. I am the direct descendant of a well known French apothecary. I am speaking, of course, about Nostradamus.

I have talents very similar to his, but it's only when I get black out drunk, and I can only make predictions about video game football. Luckily for all of you, I got hammered this weekend.

I had a vision.

So without any further introduction, here is Flostradamus's Madison VII- the Hoss Whisperer vision, by region:

The Jeff Bostic Region:

The Sean Landeta Region:

The Joel Hilgenberg Region:

The Matt Millen Region:

There were some tough calls in there. Some people might say there weren't enough upsets. Some people might say I gave the benefit of the doubt to online guys. Some might even say I gave the benefit of the doubt to local guys. I just want to remind you, it isn't my personal feelings, but this way shown to me in my vision.

After those brackets, it leaves us with the elite eight, all the way through to the championship game:

There is a quote on the site listing some of the story lines for this years tourney. One of them is going to stick out like a sore thumb after looking at these brackets. It says, "Is this Flo or Jay H’s year, two perennial Elite 8 participants;". It looks like it is both of their years. I mean, making it to the championship game is a hell of an accomplishment. The only problem is that it can't be both of their years.

I'm going to win the tournament.

Hey, you had to see that coming, right? I can't make a bracket and not list myself winning. That's like filling out a March Madness bracket when your favorite team is a one or two seed, and you don't put them in the finals.

*Disclaimer: I may or may not be a descendant of Nostradamus. I may or may not have had a vision. I may or may not be correct in my tournament predictions.

Interesting bracket. I expect confidence from a bracket filler. But you have raised an interesting point...maybe a $5 "bracket contest" for the field of 64? May be a good way to get someone who has been eliminated a chance to win some money and stay involved in the tourney.

Also, I see you did not have me advancing in the Bostic region out of my group. It simply must be because I tied one who did and lost the point differential tiebreak or head to head tiebreak. But I understand---newbies get no respect....I have to come there and earn it with John L Williams, Dave Krieg, and Benny (and/or Brian) Blades.

See everyone Saturday. What is everyone doing Friday? I should be rolling into town by 7pm. Would love to meet some people or get some Tecmo action in.

I just want to say hello to all you whisperers of the Hoss and announce that I am more than a little excited to finally immerse myself in this 144-competitor Tecmo manfest. This will be my first Tecmo tournament, not counting fourth grade sleepovers and every Saturday after the bar. I plan on chronicling the festivities in detail on my risen-from-the-ashes website, so if you see me wandering around in a haze with a camera after I get broomed out of the tournament, don't be afraid to say hello and/or pose awkwardly.

If there was some way we could print out brackets, (and get people to fill them out) while the play-in games for the 15/16/17/18 seed teams are going on, I would love to help organize that. What better way to keep the 60 people eliminated still interested?

The CoD is going to win the group, and second place will come down to a heart-breaking tie-breaker. Flostradamus has seen it already.

I'll bring a stack of brackets. We could fill out 1/2 of it during the afternoon session fairly easily, but the timing and copying may be tricky between the afternoon and 64 man tourney play-ins. We could give it a try though, if it doesn't work it doesn't work. There's probably a copy place somewhat close, we could fill out one and take it for copies, then have those fill it out during the play in games.

I'm thinking this for the round totals: 1 pt, 3pts, 5pts, 8pts, 12pts, and 15pts for champion.

Edit: post I made was stupid.

Yeah, fill out the first half of the brackets while the second group plays. There is more than enough time for that.

Everyone gets a pen and a bracket when the second half is figured out, they fill out the second half of the brackets themselves. Every spot for the play in games will be "winner of 15/18 seed game", or "winner of 16/17 seed game".

That gives everyone about 20-25 minutes to fill out their brackets, which should be alright.

If someone is in one of the play in games, give them a chance to fill out a bracket as long as they aren't near any of the games as they are being played. Anyone in the tournament won't get a chance.

A good way to follow events tomorrow in real-time will be to follow the #TecmoVII hash tag on Twitter, for those folks who use Twitter. And if you are Tweeting about the tournament tomorrow, please include that hash tag (no spaces, VII rather than 7) in your Tweet. Thanks.

I went 2-1 in pool play. No one was an online guy...game I lost was due to 2 fumbles on kick returns and another one on a run play. Oh well.

I won my first bracket game against this guy Tarvaris who played well but he picked Chargers/Raiders so I took Raiders.

Then I met up with Mort.

He called Steelers/Bucs. I went with Bucs. I had a 10 point lead but fell behind by 3 after he forced a couple of punts. I got pinned deep on those drives and took losses because his LB got through and I couldn't win the grapples those times.

The crowd behind this TV was almost all pro-Mort and trash talkin that I was "gettin tired" or something. I still made a clutch drive and then a long FG with Greg Lloyd coming back there since you can use LB4.

I won the OT coin toss and he screwed up with an onsides kick. I couldn't take advantage though because Vinny had been in bad since the 4th quarter and he got my running play twice in a row. So I kick another long FG in Greg Lloyd's face. I'm not sure if it's quite in. Mort thinks it is so he goes for the gg handshake. Then we look again and it doinks, no good. I muster some defense of my own though and manage to get a stop. He decides to punt.

I come to 4th and 6 with about 1:30 left from around my 30. If I punt the game will likely go to another OT. I go for it and the crowd says I have stones. I went for run 3. I had a blocker, but Mort and Rod dive tackled me a yard short.

Well I went out swinging to the guy who was defending champ and made the title game.

Thanks to all that came and enjoyed Tecmo VII yesterday. Hopefully some folks were following the updates on Twitter. Here's the quick and dirty recap:

Champ: Jimmy B

Runner-up: Mort

Third Place: Sobhi ("BIW")

Fourth Place: Seth B (from St Louis)

Elite 8: Sobhi over Travis R, Jimmy B over O'Dell, Seth over Ryan33Fulcher, Mort over SkunkerofBestinWorld (via 90 yd JJ as time expired).

Sweet 16: Sobhi over Tony J, Travis R over Toolie, O'Dell over Beach, Jimmy B over Justin G, Seth B over TecmoPsycho, Ryan33Fulcher over Nick T, Skunker over Holzy11.

Jimmy beat Mort in the finals, 24-14, with Phoenix over Dallas. Masterful playcalling by Jimmy B throughout the Final Four. Congrats to our first repeat champ (he also won Tecmo IV).

Here's a crappy pic of the bracket that I took with my phone:

Knobbe recorded the championship game, and he and Bailey provided commentary throughout (with help from some sideline reporters). I'm sure he'll get the link up once he's back home. Thanks to everyone who helped make the world's first 144-man TSB tournament a success.

This was one of the most watched and cheered on games leading up to the end brackets (all apologies to Orenga's Crew)

I would like to give a huge thahk you to josh, chet, bailey and toney for throwing tourney. what a great weekend.im very happy with my elite eight performance, but i can do better.

now on to the real important stuff. everyone is invited to the championship parade that will be thrown in jimmys home town. conffetty will rain from the streets of bayview (much like louis b. drinks spills on eveything and anybody) parade will start at my house where jimmy will be put in a bullit proof glass covered car. from there parade will take small deture to flaunt kevin miller (former champ).unfortantly we will not be able to have police escort, mainly because they will have a problem with jimmy slaming huge pitchers of beer while driving the covered car.parade will end at jimmys house where he will give a speach, if he is not to drunk.

Sounds like it was a fun tournament. I wish I could remember more than just a few bits and pieces after my elimination in the round of 32. I took the loss a bit hard, and I'm sure annoyed the hell out of a few folks (Bailey, Kevin Miller, Lindsey, etc.). Josh, Chet, and Bailey, way to run a great tournament.

I allow 7 points in group play (a pick-six by Tomczak were those points), win in my round of 64 game, and then get owned by Zubaz-pants-wearing Nick. This tournament might have to go with the Ryder Cup in memory after my early exit...
