I'm trying to eliminate easy blocked FG's and extra points, as often victimizes the computer. This seems like the easiest way to do it. To do this, go to xA0D5 and xA0DF and change 0C to either 18 (to move them 1.5 yards back) or 1C (to move them 2 yards back). Using 18, you can still get through that void between the Center and Guard if you have a fast LB but it takes a split second longer. I'm glad you're taking the time to look around. When it comes to moving players around on the field in the various formations, just about all of those HEX locations are posted. I got the idea from buck's rom but I slightly adjusted their position so that they'd actually block the charging nose guards. You'd have to re-write some pointers (they all receive identitical commands--though you can change that), but you can have one of the kick block formations be "softer" than the other one if you want. Tecmonster Posted June 28, 2013 Share Posted June 28, 2013 After reading this board for weeks, I still don't know what "pointers" are, but I think that's definitely an interesting idea. If nobody ever blocked another computer XP in our league, I would be happy. I think it's an ultra cheap way to win games against the com. Field goals . . . that's a different story. With my current system of using personal protectors on the FG team, if you have a really fast CB, you can get around the edge and into FG blocking "range" with the guy about 20% of the time. Since blocks only seem to happen about 25% of the time that you have a guy within range (i.e. a diving player enters the FG cut scene), that means you're only blocking a FG about 5% of the time. I like that %, very realistic. I don't like it with extra points though. A human player hits XP's 100% of the time, so a computer should too in my opinion. Of course this is in the ORIGINAL TECMO BOWL with only 9 players. I have tried to use the Tecmo Super Bowl information to attempt to switch the formations in the ORIGINAL TECMO BOWL but to no avail. Is there someone that can help me pinpoint in the ORIGINAL TECMO BOWL game how to change formations around. I have been able to move around in the Original ROM pretty well but still don't know about moving players around on the field. Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps I see it differently than you and I did not explain it completely. Below are the bytes for all the know formations in the Original Tecmo Bowl. I wanted to know within those sets if anyone could point me in the right direction to alter them or create new sets or formations. Unless I'm way off base the topic at hand talks about the sets in the special teams formations and changing the lineups/player commands. I posted this here to see if anyone can show me or assist me in finding the areas within the Original Tecmo Bowl ROM to change the player positions on the field and/or change the player responsibilities within those formations: Special Teams or otherwise. I posted it here also because it will see more eyes of those familiar with TSB edits that may be able to help me. There aren't too many folks that know the editing for the Original Tecmo Bowl and if posted in that forum it will come across less eyes. I have poked around some, but to no results of what I am looking for. I put it into a rom and found it brings the Kicking Teams defensive ends in closer to the offensive line and looks to scrunch the offensive line. See these images to compare. But you really want to add the Punt Coverage Code AND Punk Block Return they are meant to be used together (See the final image). Is there adjustments that can be made to keep the rom from crashing. Also I've tried tecmomonsters and the slid nose tackle and they make it impossible unless you have Bosa who seems to be in juice mode on every new rom I have tried. The kickoffs have been adjusted to remove the easy onside kick, the Punt has a wedge, the FG is set up in a formation that eliminates easy blocks. Just copy paste the code over to your version. keyice Posted February 25 Share Posted February 25 ryzzynnwa thats a pretty good rom, I did go through and make some adjustments of some of the more recent roms on attributes and formations. I have also struggled to get the Bruhdog special teams complete hacks to install and work with the code available. It would be nice to call your own touchback verse waiting in the endzone to get tackled and possibly fumble and give the com a cheap TD. Bruhdog had that nailed on the special teams, like the options for touchback or running a punt out, on field timeouts, and give out slides, well downing yourself. Also a spike play would be a good play to add to the playbook so you could added to the book towards the end of the game, help you save timeouts. I don't have the programming skills of the elite guys on this site have, but I can't sleep so I am learning to do mods, fixing the rosters to be fair, things like Armstead being faster than half the running backs, I also notice the safeties a way to slow, and the hit power is low on the newer roms unless they are the builders favorite. I did come across the xplozv JBI 3 and JBI 4 with modded playbooks and huddles, options on the runs, lots of wildcats, you can paste the playbooks which make the game so much more fun, including the defensive options so your not just picking the play for the blitz but a defense that will keeping you from getting ripped for 90 yards when you pick a certain pass and the offense picks a run. Here is the last version I did, but the special teams options didnt work, probally because the base rom I used had the tackle only touchback. But the rosters are more realistic, I am gonna try and implant some of the non huddle plays from XPLOZV's rom, I was gonna reachout and see if he has the huddle roms option plays without the huddle mod, their are some real gems in there with the selectable options, like pitches or keepers, and so on. Anyhow here is my verion of the 2024 Final ROM because I got so annoyed that Jordan Love was rated lower than Russel Wilson and Bryce Young, guy made it two games into the playoffs with some threaded throws. This is the one I can't get the punts into but it really doesn't matter cause you cant block a punt unless you take out the kicker from what I have seen. 2024 3.2 current roster fg formations.nes Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
