i only have one problem with this rom. most of the players from the later positions like the wr,te or lb,db seem to lack the stats when u sim the season. like the db the safeties seem to get nothing or the 2 olb doesnt get sacks because of the sim cap being over used. so i hope someone can fix this and make it more balanced.

I have a hugh roster update ready to upload but im still am trying to fix the 1991 thing,to 2008. Anyone with a lil help on this? As soon as i get the 19911 problem resolved i'll upload the update guys.

man i have been playing updated versions of tecmo for a few years now and i have to say this is the best one i have ever played. i feel the problems { or lack there of } with your version are not even worth mentioning. absolutly a great version. great job man

Wow coming from a ravens fan thats a huge compliment! But thanks for the uplifting words. alot of people like to nitpick,but alot of people like this rom,and with all the downloads that were done on the updates...this is the most downloaded rom of all time!!!!!!! Alright guys here is a early christmas present for ya! All team colors tweaked a lil (champ/div screens),player ratings updates across the board,team sim ratings updated on every team even my browns that have fallen apart .fixed the 1991 problem after super bowl win now says 2008 (special thx to jstoudt!) Does anyone else seem to notice RB's have an unusally high reception rates? the average seems to be about 38. Also, Adrian Peterson has a rec rate of 56, one notch above fellow teamate and wide receiver Bernard Berrian. It also doesn't even make sense for him to have a high rating among running backs, since he had 19 rec for 268 yards last year, and 18 rec and 94 yards this year(5.2 yards per catch!)

Speaking of Bernard, you made him pretty damn good with 69 MS.( same as steve smith and randy moss)

Ok played first game, Cowboys(me)vs. browns, 16-14 browns. My D did a pretty good job. I basicly lost becasue after two play picks by the computer I punted in my own endzone and my punter was almost immediantly tackled, netting the browns a BS safety. roy williams got injured on his first punt return. They were also about 5 blocked passes by leaping Dl-men(not near the qb, they were still wresling the ol when it happened.)

My leading receiver: Deoin anderson, 5 catches, 85 yards.

Getting a punter safetied = a bad Tecmo player. Although maybe if your punter got 'immediately' tackled, and it was the Browns, then Drummer must have done something...

Ok guys i went thru and tweaked the numbers on the rb's except LT and WESTBROOKE because they catch the ball very well. And i looked at the wr's and they are set where they should be,i hope this fixes the problems you guys were having. And i have never had a player block a pass while engaged on this rom,and i have never had my punter tackled as soon as he got the ball. Let me know if you guys have any more problems....Update on the 1st page of post!

I tried the same game again and had much better look, winning 42-24. They had a last second KR TD, and Tony Romo threw for an even 300 yards.

Mayby the pass block thing was a bit exagerated, since I only remember one this game(I didn't punt at all)

hey, thanks. the phins are doing well. won 4 of the last 5. they have the fate of their season in their own hands.

the roster above is very current and is how they have played most of the season. It's actually rated pretty conservatively.

porter is a monster on Defense, as he should be, has 16.5 sacks so far.

ronnie brown and ricky are decent backs, not too crazy.

pennington is very accurate. currently, through 14 games, he's 6th in passer rating. rarely turns the ball over.

the dolphins only have 10 turnovers this season. lowest in teh NFL. NFL record low is 12.

defense is decent. (we haven't allowed a TD in the past 8 quarters) we have 1 good CB and one good Safety.

we need help at WR, they are average, but improving.

great job on this rom.

I think 2008 is the best year for roms.

we have buck's time machine rom, your 2008 rom and jstouts CIFL rom and many others.

all amazing. might even have a good coaching rom coming out by the end of the year.

oh yeah, and btw, you gotta turn the juice off dude, or have 2 versions. I agree juice is more challenging, but 2 versions are needed. Sometimes I like to get interceptions and sometimes I like to run the ball for stats.

everytime i download the updated version it doesnt show up in my folder where i download it. not sure what im doing wrong since i recieved all other roms put on but this one isnt showing up. i still have the 2k9 2.0 . what am i doing wrong?

The game looks and works perfectly, I just hope you could update the 49ers quarterback, since Shaun Hill as been the starter for a few games now, and it seems like he´s gonna stick around for a while!!

Drummer might be going with who has played as the Niners QB the most this season.

Also, you can update your version via BADALS TSBTOOL.

I just noticed another thing, DL-men often have higher MS then Safetys, CBs and LBs.

Examples: Casey Hampton and Aaron Smith have 69 MS while Troy Polamalu has 63 MS and FS Ryan Clark has 56 MS.

The only person on the entire team that matches their speeds is Santonio Holmes.

To illustrate the point further, Joey Porter and Demarcus Ware( 1st and second in NFL sacks 16.5, 16) both have 50 MS while the Pittsburg D-men have 4.5 sacks and 1 sack, far behind the leaders for Their single positions. I know I'm kinda rambling but You made also Hampton so much better then Jay Ratliff(Dal) who has 7 sacks to Hampton's 1, and they are both NT's.

*Nevermind, with NESticle you have to rename the file so that there are no spaces I think...I renamed the file to TecmoSuperBowl2K9 and now it works!!! Thanks!!!
