  1. NCAA: TSB 2017

After what seemed like endless delays, Tecmo Super Bowl: NCAA 2017 is finally here!

As seen in the screen-shots, each team has its helmet included on their respective Team Data and Versus screens.

If you recently downloaded my 2016 version of this ROM, you might find that this one is a little more finely tuned.  Ratings and simdata have been fine-tuned so that end-of season leaders are reflected accurately vis-a-vis their real-life counterparts.

In keeping with accuracy, the schedule has been reduced to 12 games, with the final week before the playoffs being set as "Rivalry Week."

The lineup of teams is 96.875% identical (to 2016), with the only difference being the inclusion of Houston, replacing Kansas State.

There are 32-teams in this ROM.  The 32 teams are divided into the following eight conferences (Note: I took the liberty to "realign" some of the conferences):

    ACC
    Pittsburgh
    Clemson
    Florida State
    Miami

    SEC East
    Florida
    Missouri
    Georgia
    South Carolina

    SEC West
    Auburn
    Texas A&M
    Alabama
    Louisiana State

    All-American
    Louisville
    Virginia Tech
    Syracuse
    Notre Dame

    Big 10
    Ohio State
    Michigan
    Nebraska
    Wisconsin

    Big 12
    Oklahoma State
    Oklahoma
    Baylor
    Houston

    Pac 12
    UCLA
    Southern Cal
    Stanford
    Oregon

    Big 10/12
    Iowa
    Michigan State
    Penn State
    Texas

    Enjoy!

  4. Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold

This is Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold.

I started working on this Legends-themed ROM back in March.  I delayed the release of this ROM for the simple fact that around the time of the originally planned debut, a glut of other "Legends" ROMs burst onto the scene as well.  So as not to (a) get lost in the shuffle or (b) take away from the spotlight of other modders, I pulled my work.

This delay allowed me to fine-tune this ROM into what I would consider the "gold-standard" of Legends edits (hence, the "Gold" title) previously established by my past Convergence ROMs.

Each team is comprised of the greatest players in franchise history, whether it's based on talent, records, or the impact they left on the team (Players like Tim Tebow and Kordell Stewart are included for the latter reasons).  In addition to the team rosters, the All-Pro rosters have been edited to contain the greatest players in the history of the National Football League.

I've combed over this ROM obsessively.  If there are any errors, please let me know.

    Enjoy!

  7. TSB NCAA19

My TSB NCAA19 is for this upcoming year.  I used Phil Steele's College Football 2018 Preview for my pre-season rankings, depth charts, formations, player names and jersey numbers.  I'm a fan of the original Tecmo Super Bowl so I make roms true to that version which I call "vanilla".  This rom is complete and I will probably not do an update during or after the season.  Enjoy!

RANK - NCAA TEAM (TSB OFF/DEF)
    1  Alabama (SF/NYG)
    2  Clemson (RAM/CHI)

    5  Georgia (BUF/HOU)
    6  Wisconsin (RAI/SD)

    Features:
    NCAA19 Graphics
12 Game Schedule over 17 Weeks, Weeks 13-16 is Rival Week spread out, Week 17 is the predicted Conference Championships.
Phil Steele's Pre-Season Rankings are on each teams mini helmet (Thanks to Proads26)
8 playbooks were used 4 times each with minimal pre-snap reads (Thanks to Mort & RSG Tom for their team and playbook breakdowns on YouTube.)
Pro Bowl = Army vs. Navy = Even Teams (TB Offense & DET Defense)
Alternate Uniform 2 Hack aka Color Rush Uniforms (Jersey/Pants - 1st Color, Helmet/Stripe on Pants - 2nd Color)
Juiced version is Week 16 difficulty throughout.
The file has 4 versions of the game:  Vanilla, Vanilla - Color Rush Unis, Juiced, Juiced - Color Rush Unis

    Notes:
I don't care about player faces but did do the Top 30 players.   I stuck with the 3-4 defenses so for teams that actually run a 4-3 their second DT is at ILB.  Sorry to fans of Utah, Boston College, Texas A&M, Memphis, Louisville, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, South Florida and Air Force but your teams did not make my Top 32.  I did not include the Worst Possible Team (Bodom) like I have in the past.

Just something to play around with. Rosters range from 1950's to Impact 2016 Rookie Class (J. Ramsey, E. Elliott, J. Bosa, M. Jack). Fast gameplay. Would love to change the playbook and add off/def line push, but I haven't read through enough threads to figure out how to do so yet. Feedback would be much appreciated!

  17. TFO Football 2014

TFO stands for "Tecmo Fantasy Owners". The idea and rom hack are ran by the TFO Commish Roger. The entire project is named "Tecmo Fantasy Owners Football League" or "TFO Football League".

Each team in the TFO Football League has been created by a different person; an Owner of a TFO Team. These owners set the stats, names, colors, logos, and superstar players for their team via an RPG like application they were sent. In essence they have "purchased" their dream teams.

After each owner submitted their team it was hacked into the original Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES. So all 28 teams are accessible from the hacked rom.

To make things more interesting instead of releasing the rom right away we documented the first full season of TFO Football on our website http://tfofootball.weebly.com. We have created an 17 week schedule with a full Tecmo Super Bowl playoff system in tact. These were all covered in games recorded for YouTube, some with commentary!

The 2014 season started Feb 2014 and ended in July 2014. This was our Second Season.

So the question now is... Are You Ready For Some 8-bit Football???????

  18. Tecmo Grey Cup 2016

Thanks to Buck and Bruddog TECMO GREY CUP 2016 IS HERE!!! This year's version has tremendous upgrades and improvements.

Using GRG's base CFL ROM (with Pambazos88 added Ottawa Redblacks graphics), Buck, Bruddog and I have completed this year's version of Tecmo Grey Cup.

Buck did a ton of the difficult work. Buck fixed all of the graphics, removed the halftime stats, and redid the playbooks to give offense formations continuity and competitive COM. He also gave the Pro Bowl a makeover as he coded the 2016 CFL all-star team, and the 2016 NFL all-star team, and gave them proper playbooks as well as replacing references to AFC-NFL with CFL-NFL. There is even an easter egg to change the players of the NFL all-star team to the 1991 TSB all-stars. He lessened the kickoff minimum and maximum distance by 5 yards. Buck also added a hack for directional punting which I think is fantastic.

Bruddog stepped in and provided a major major upgrade when he fixed the safety glitch. The end zones were increased to 20 yards which stops shotgun plays near your own end zone of automatically becoming a safety. This fix worked two-fold, as the real CFL end zones are 20 yards. Not only did this fix the safety glitch but it's more accurate, and now you have so much more freedom to call plays when you are in the red zone which is just like the real CFL. You can still throw a fly route from the 1 yard line!!!

I updated the rosters to reflect the 2016 CFL rosters at end of season. I modified both player and team sim settings to reflect the 2016 season.

Buck and I decided to release the game both with Regular and Max Juice versions. I personally love the Max Juice version as with only 3 downs the field position battle feels very true to the real CFL game you see on TV. However, that mode is certainly difficult and not for novice players so the regular version is also included for those that need it or just think it's more fun.

    Enjoy Tecmo Grey Cup 2016!!!

    Key Features:

    3 downs
    110 yard field
    20 yard end zones
FG posts at front of end zones
    Directional punting
6 team playoff using accurate CFL crossover wild card system
    2016 rosters
CFL vs NFL (replacing Pro Bowl)

  20. NCAA: TSB 2016

I have been sitting on this ROM for almost a year before finally releasing it.

This is a collaborative effort between myself and Dave Murray.  The ROM was originally finished at the end of the 2015-16 NCAA football season and is based on said season.  Unless I missed anything, all instances of "NFL" have been removed from the game and replaced with NCAA logos, so that the game will have an authentic college football feel.

There are 32-teams on the ROM, with each team having their own helmet art included on their team data screens (helmet art courtesy of Dave Murray).  These lucky 32 teams are:
Florida State Clemson Pittsburgh Miami Missouri Georgia South Carolina Florida Auburn Texas A&M Louisiana State Alabama Syracuse Louisville Virginia Tech Notre Dame Michigan Nebraska Ohio State Wisconsin Oklahoma Kansas State Baylor Oklahoma State Stanford South California UCLA Oregon Texas Iowa Michigan State Penn State
The rosters and ratings were set at the end of the season so they would reflect performances throughout the season.  Again, this ROM is a year old in terms of rosters.  However, perhaps this ROM can set the groundwork as a base-ROM for future releases.

  22. 1985 USFL and NFL TSB by buck.nes

One of the greatest years of all time for USA pop culture and sport...1985.

Play the "spring" 1985 season of the USFL in 18-game glory....Then, play a separate 14-game season with the best NFL teams of 1985...Then fight through the playoffs and see if you get your team to meet up USFL v NFL in the world championship playoff game...Can the USFL "talent" hold its ground against the NFL? Probably not, but you can try!

The upper 14 team "conference" contains the full 14-team USFL experience.
The lower 14-team "conference" consists of the 10 NFL playoff teams and four other NFL teams from 1985 season.

Traditional NES TSB gameplay, with minor gameplay and graphic upgrades, etc.

    Guaranteed to thrill.
