(SNES) Tecmo Super Bowl Decades 1990s-Game 1
Tecmo Super Bowl Decades-1990s (TSBD90) is a culmination of the 1990-1999 Legacy Series (LS90). TSBD90 is a dual game pack featuring all the best teams from LS90. Both game files provide the following gameplay elements:
- All mini/large helmets to include team logos have been touched up to remove muddy textures and unnecessary shading.
- Menu screens have been simplified and the drum loop music has been removed.
- As indicated, all teams are ported from the LS90 games & showcase the best teams of the series with the exception of the 1999 Browns. The 1999 Browns were included as they are one of the worst teams in modern NFL history for a unique challenge. Sim data reflects actual player/team performance levels.
- Uniform matchups corrected to ensure team colors do not clash with one another & with ZERO color versus color matchups just like NFL Sundays!
- Hacks included: COM QB find open receiver, COM late season coverage, 4th quarter punt logic (COM will punt in 4th with 2+ minutes remaining), stats after each quarter, elimination of motion from all triangle set formation plays, & full juice from week 1.
- Sprites=Classic Sprite Standard (CSS): Normal sized athletes to closely resemble the original 1993 sprites; however, all sprites were redesigned to reduce muddy skin textures & clashes with uniform or field turf. The field turf has been changed to single gradient in all weather conditions to provide more visibility to the focal point of the game--the players & on-screen TSB goodness.
- Two Game files are available as the ROM file only accommodates 28 teams: Variations between Game 1 & Game 2 respectively: TEN/CIN, JAX/PIT, BAL/HOU, & CAR/WAS.
- Uniforms & team imagery correspond to their respective year as they appear on the team data screens.
* The Legacy series will resume with 2000-2009 and then another Decades dual game project (TSB Decades-2000s) following the completion of TSB Legacy-2009. Please, let us know if you find any issues with game graphics or typographical errors along with constructive feedback. This also applies to Legacy 90-99. DO NOT message with questions/queries regarding the specific rationale we utilized for team selection & inclusion in the two TSBD90 game files. We will upload a standard juice version at a later date depending on demand. Thanks for downloading & please enjoy…

Again, due to the lack of large helmet tiles, the Jets green oval logo could not be accurately created as the oval would have appeared too small. Therefore, an improvised logo was created. Also, the Jets share facemask palettes with the Eagles so unfortunately, their facemask is black.

Tecmo Super Bowl 1977
I take back what I posted a few weeks ago. THIS is my most ambitious project to date. I took the flaming pile of digital garbage that I put out back in February (Tecmo Super Bowl 1977 – NES) and updated it with 16-bit graphics.
To go along with the visual upgrade, I went through it player-by-player and updated all of the ratings, jersey numbers, skin color, and simdata. I also updated all of the team simdata so that the SKP teams during the regular season play similar to their real-life 1977 counterparts. When simulating a test season, the game correctly simulated four of the six division winners. Only the AFC East and West were incorrect, and with those, the teams in 1st and 2nd flip-flopped.
I updated the schedule in the game so that it accurately reflects the 1977 season.
During the player rating editing process, I found the AV scores (approximate value) on pro-football-reference.com for each of the players to be a HUGE god-send.

Tecmo Super Bowl 1991-92
By RAYOUNG269
1991 season updated with free agents, trades, cuts and waivers, suspensions, 1991 draft class and significant season ending injuries (no Cunningham or Montana) to better represent the actual 1991 rosters available for this year. (the original NES TSB was built from 1990's season and did not use the pre-mentioned effects to make their rosters)
• New England Patriots graphics updated to include Patriot Pat helmet, classic red and white uniform combos, western style logo and all new end zones
• Player attributes taken from 1993 TSB release with minimal adjustments to reflect their on field play. (ex. Thurman Thomas has elevated attributes due to being the league MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and surpassing 2,000 total yards from scrimmage. Steve Young has lowered attributes due to his 17TD and 8INTS performance, not making the playoffs and not YET leaping up to the HOF level QB he would become the next season)
• Team and individual sim data adjustments made to better represent the 1991 season (PHI and NO had record breaking seasons on defense in regards to points allowed, turnovers and sacks so their overall team defense sim data rankings are #1 and #2, and their individual sim data/attributes are increased with better INT, HP, MS and coverage tendencies)
• 1989, 1990 and 1991 schedules
• Play books, formations and offense style preferences are adjusted to give each team a unique identity
• 2 versions are available:
1. TSB 91-92: is the original game play, no hacks
2. TSB 91-92 FJ: contains a late season coverage hack along with a week 16 full juice command, both of which start week 1.
