Knobbe
In it's earliest form without any error checking or even coolness other than the sheer fun of itself.http://www.knobbe.org/qbrater.phtml
Don Beebe
Decent...now we need it to work backwards....take the Tecmo stats and turn them into an official NFL QB Rating. Didn't you figure that out, or come pretty damn close?
Knobbe
The stats you plug in are both the same, it's just a matter of how you calculate the rating. I plan on putting in the NFL rating alongside for comparision, but that is for another day.Decent...now we need it to work backwards....take the Tecmo stats and turn them into an official NFL QB Rating. Knobbe
It will now calculate the NFL and Tecmo QB ratings and also won't return anything on several error situations inputted.
CNFLpresident
I use a quarterback's rating to determine coolness. Here's the formula:=IF(Pass Attempts <75,38,((Rating-33.6)/79.2)*69+19)Now here's what it means. If you have less than 75 pass attempts, you get a rating of 38. Otherwise, take the QB's rating subtracted by 33.6, divide the result by 79.2, then multiply the remainder by 69 and add 19.Now, the English version. The formula assumes that the worst possible rating for a QB is around 33.7, and the best possible rating is 112.8 (Steve Young's record year). If you have a 33.7 rating, you're going to get a coolness of 19. If you have a 112.8 rating, you get a coolness of 88. And everyone else gets a coolness number somewhere in between 19 and 88, in direct proportion to their rating.
CNFLpresident
Oh yeah, one more thing. For backup QB's that don't meet the 75 attempt criteria, I may combine their stats from the previous year with the current year if I feel that is appropriate. hamburgler2682
This Tecmo Rating calculator has helped me realize how much I suck with Dan Marino and the HSTL. Recognition is the first step on the road to recovery.
