Well folks, the last week of the season is finally here and we have had an interesting turn of events take place to add a little tension to the playoff picture.
San Fran took care of business against the then Un-defeated Tampa Bay Bandits to put them within striking distance of Detroit.
The Mobsters couldn't secure their playoff spot last week, losing to Illinois. No doubt playing without the injured RB Cass had some affect on that outcome, but Detroit hopes that his return to the lineup this week will spark the win they need to reach the post-season. If they fail to beat Buffalo in week 9, and San Fran finds a way to beat Southern, it will come down to points differential to decide who takes the last playoff spot in the National Division.
So keep your eye on the action, and let's get the season wrapped up so we can move on into the post season to crown our first CIA Champion!

I can't condone that type of conduct... but fortunately I do have some singles.

Yea I was scratching my head on that one also Snatch. Looks like the best SF can do is tie Detroit record wise so wouldn't Detroit have the tiebreaker and a playoff berth already sown up or do you have a different type of playoff format.

well, it's hard for tecmophile to sort out head-to-head tiebreakers when it displays the standings. That's why I use point differential to break the tie. Maybe I've been watching too much World Cup lately so I just figured we'd use that as a tie-breaker. It makes these last games a whole lot more excting, doesn't it?
It would probably be good to hear what the league thinks about the tie-breaker. Should it be head-to-head, then point differential, or the other way around?

Personally head to head then point differential if the 2 teams tied by chance.

bo knows football
bo knows tecmo
bo now knows Ron The Force Forsche
Savannah 42-10 over Los Angeles Raiders
Key stat-nuff said
Forsche 1 rec-29 yards, 294 yards rushing, 6 tds
jackson 2 rec-6 yards, 65 yards rushing, 1 td
Forsche is leading the league in rush attempts, only player with over 1000 rushing yards, and at this time he leads not only in rushing tds, but total tds with 16. come on league mvp right here
Sea Snakes finish the season with a 3 game winning streak, and 3-6 overall, and eagerly await a better next season!

Bandits pull out a tough 27-21 win over the brawlers in OT
Bandits had a chance but I'm not fast enoough to call TO with seconds remaining.
Chaos destroyed my RBs. 2 injuries. Glad I have a week and hopefully get them back. Thats plus my main RB Me is in bad shape. Even in bad did manage to crack the 1000 yrd mark with 2 more TDs to make 16 leaving TB with 2 legitamate MVP candidates in Caudill and Mason.
Mason was his usual rushing for over 100 yrds and passed for 2.
Chaos had his running game working great and lead 21-14 at half. I thought to myself this has got to stop and basically held him in check the entire second half.
Winning the coin toss in OT helped also along with a short KO I knew I had a chance even after injuring Cram and I had to put myself back in the game which was good as I didnt fumble and scored the gw.
Bandits finish 8-1 and homefield through entire playoffs now.
GG Chaos and GL in playoffs.

gg beef, as I told you, I accidentally picked the wrong play on the OT TD, but my D probably would've let you score anyway. I went with some backups today since we clinched a playoff spot two weeks ago. He did a good job calling my plays second half.
