Nintendo World Cup 2014 ~ Japan's journey

I remember the 1990 World Cup like it was yesterday.  I was living in Germany at the time, and as unsafe as it was, I remember being on a field trip in school and the bus driver shouting in excitement as he was listening to the game on a headset.

That's amazing! I was lucky enough to watch two matches from this past World Cup in the presence of German fans. I got the sense that their fandom ran deep -- they were excited Germany won it all, but the fans' time together seemed to be even more about the shared experience as a community than it was about the sport itself. I found to be a greatly rewarding experience.

I just started watching your game, and I've never tried your "walking the ball into the goal" method.  90% of my goals have come off of knocking in a rebound on a blocked shot by the goalie.

"Walking the ball into the goal" is an extremely effective method on the lower tier teams, but probably boring to watch. I always treat the first couple games as practice and really ramp up the score. Having just played France in the third match, I'm happy to see that the difficulty has already progressed significantly.
