Knobbe
I was curious about how the Tecmo QB Rating was tabbed, and I found the other threads bringing it up and mentioning the Perfect TSB QB Rating...just wanted to put it in the flesh... I used to have a ratings calculator out there. It's basically the NFL ratings system minus the caps. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passer_rating NFL caps the value of A, B, C, and D at 2.
MvG Sports
Thanks, and I did see your other thread where you had the calculator and what have you, though I don't believe it's accessible any longer...no big deal. Personally, I think it's silly that the NFL caps passer rating at all, especially deeming this a "perfect" passing day...A perfect passer rating (158.3) requires at least a 77.5% completion rate, 12.5+ yards per attempt, a touchdown on at least 11.875% of attempts, and no interceptions. There's just no need for a cap, none. Tecmo wins again! lol.
deadfaulkner
This just came up for me in relation to TSB 3. I tried it out, and it actually doesn't work to just use the passer rating formula without the limits - it comes out slightly off what is displayed in the game. I'm assuming they used the same passer rating formula for all four games, but I can't quite figure out what it is. any ideas?
brookstonfowler
isn't it just the rating formula minus the limits?
