I'm gonna be coming now. Riding with Patrick and Brian from NYC. I'll have a Nintendo, two games and two controllers but the one sucks so I might go by another.

Have plenty of tvs?

We are playing at a video game store right? Cool if we bring some beers?

There were 18 total participants. The tournament broke into 5 groups (2 @ 3 and 3 @ 4) each person in the 3 player groups played 1 person from the other 3 player group to get 3 games per player to determine seeding.

There was a playoff for the final two spots in the 16 player bracket. The bracket was then run double elim for the top 16 players.

Thanks to everyone that came out and big thanks to Erik for helping so much with the event.

Congrats to Matt who played a great tournament!  Going undefeated is a pretty amazing feat.  All the players who were there were really solid players and you had the feeling that with the wrong bounce of the ball could have swung many games in the other guy's favor.  It was great seeing a lot of both new and familiar faces.

My own tourney experience: I went 3-0 in pool play and got the #2 seed overall.  My two losses in bracket play were both intense OT games, losing to Ray and Ryan (who I had beaten in pool play) respectively.  Despite my earliest exit from a tourney in recent times (1-2 in bracket), I am very happy with my performance.  In retrospect, those games I lost were extremely memorable (though I'm sure I'd like to forget Schroeder's 4 INTs!)  Thanks to Ray for running a good tournament and being very hospitable overall.

Just wanted to say thanks to Ray for hosting a great tournament. The owners at Game Junkie for letting us play at an awesome venue and the guys I have come to share some time with at tournaments on the east coast (and some new faces I met). You guys know who you are. Thanks for the support. I had a lot of fun (as usual) and i'll see ya guys at the next tournament.
