I was wondering if you had set up a rankings system for posts in this forum. Sort of how there is karma in Gamefaqs and gamer and super gamer in the Tecmo Inc. forum. If so, then what are the rankings and how many posts does it take to acheive each ranking?

Maybe we should get a few in there between Tecmo Super Champion and Legend.
like
500-600 Bob Nelson
601-800 Wayne Haddix
801-1000 QB Eagles
1000 + Legend

Actually, the players should change every 20 or 50 posts. Something like this:
0-20 Scott Mitchell
20-40 Rich Gannon
40-60 Andre Watters
...
940-960 LT
960-980 Bo Jackson
980-1000 Jerry Rice
1000+ QB Eagles

That is a fantastic idea.
But Grogan would be 0-20.

yes, although rankings are cool...the negative externalities that result just don't outweigh the good. There is nothing I hate worse than spam. Fortunately, people on this message board have been extremely good about that thus far.

I'm assuming that when you mean "people", I'm not included. Especially with my wiseguy Hokie-like one line responses.

Actually, couldn't you just add in special player rankings after someone gets more than 1000 or 2000 posts? That way someone won't just come on the board and start spamming.

Tecmo Legend is the magical top of the ladder as far as ranking title goes. (1000 posts) It doesn't really seem like people are posting just for the sake of obtaining arbitrary titles.
I supposed I'd consider letting people choose something other than Tecmo Legend after a while once this board is old enough to have such a poster. Also, since I can assign any title to anyone I could at any time give someone the 0 dot title of "Tecmo Spammer"
Either way I won't let it keep me up at night.
