Hi,
Does anybody know how to change the quarter length in TSB for the SNES? The instruction manual says you can but i can't figure it out.
Thanks

You can do it in preseason and probowl modes (not season). When you select either menu, move the cursor over the area that says "PreSeason" (for example). It will then give you the option to change between 3 minute up to 15 minute quarters

Story checks on that. It is hard to find, but when you hit A to choose Preseason or Probowl, hit A again right away. That will pop up the time choices. I have no idea why they didn't allow for the change during the regular season.

Thanks very much folks. And yes, that is incredibly dumb that you can't change it for season games.

They probably didn't want it changed in season mode cause the stats would be way out of wack and they wanted it to have a normal games stats.

LOL! Yeah like Tecmo ever had normal stats. But i guess you're right. Things would have really gotten out of hand. I can imagine people racking up over 1200 yards per game with longer quarters.

Yeah, Tecmo III is cool cuz you can change quarter lengths in season, but you can only do it for 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15 minutes. I thought 6 minute quarters would be perfect, at least when playing a MAN opponent.

In TSB for the SNES, I used to play mostly 5 minute, sometimes 3 minute quarters (in a hurry) against my friends. It worked out pretty well.

Okay this is weird. I've tried that a dozen times, and in no instance did the option to change quarter length appear. But i'm not going to worry about it anymore. My copy of TSB III should be arriving soon enough.
