Cool! It will be great to have some more NCAA love around. I've been working on my TSB NCAA11 (the season that just ended) for months and hope to put it out any day now. I went to your website and see that your list of players seem to be for the next season as in 2012-13? And, you're calling it "Tecmo NCAA" so is it Tecmo Bowl or Tecmo Super Bowl? I'm guessing TSB but just wanted to check. Keep the updates coming!

Thanks for the feedback. It will be for the 2012- 2013 season. with updates before spring, post spring, right before the season mid and post season.

Rankings are based on various things (skills, potential, stats) etc.

Will be putting out a post on position rankings daily, followed by team rankings.

When I am done with the initial ratings on players, i will release it for testing to get some feedback from others. You know your team better than I do.

Not sure if I should give Alabama love, I am a Gator fan!!! LOL

Look forward to how this product wil go.

I have to ask what are you using as your basis for your rankings. Because some of these rankings are "peculiar". QB especially. I watch an insane amount of college football and do rankings for NCAA for PS3. I'm just surprised at some of the rankings. Its seems that you were heavily influenced by one game bowl performances.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and the other people who rate NCAA on the Ps3 differ from mine. But I always like to hear guys thought process.

Rankings are based on previous production, projected production, skills and how well they perform in a particular offense amongst other things.

It would be great to get your feedback if you think a player is to high or to low. I must say I have always wondered by what standards you guys rate NCAA players.

B/W different releases players ratings can change based on performance and I will take into account others opinions as they may see a different perspective. I find myself watching more youtube videos to get a good feel for players.

The debate here in Gainesville is already on who should start at QB for Florida Brissett or Driskel.

Feedback helps and makes for a better and true playing experience!

Driskel is the guy in florida hands down form what I've seen. NCAA ratings are done a number of ways. Some guys do it on performance (mine included), other guys do speed edits (using draft/combine sites),ither leave things as they are and just make minor tweaks. There are so many more variables- but I can care less if a Freshman who's being redshirted runs a 4.3 at some high school combine. If he doesn't see the field there's no need for me to put him on the game or increase his attributes.

As far as your rankings, here are a few areas we differ. My order would be different in most cases but I just want to highlight some of my ? marks.

QB

James Franklin- Not a top 10 QB (even considering the amount of teams) not better than many guys he's ranked ahead of right now.
Clint Chelf/Andrew Maxwell- Never played significant time and have shown nothing in any cirles for them to be above proven guys.
Colin Klein/ Denard Robinson- No way these guys aren't top 5. All defenses focus on them and they still put up numbers. Especially Klein. They are playmakers.
Geno Smith- High Volume thrower. Lit up a very poor Clemson Defense. Not a top 5 guy

RB

DeAnthony Thomas- He a playmaker but he's not a top 3 back. He produced big numbers in 3 games. We're projecting but can't give hime credit over proven commodities
Dustin Garrision- He shouldn't even be on the list. He had 1 big game vs Bowling green (over 1/3 of his yards)
Kenyon Barner- Should be much closer to Thomas, but higher on the list.
Brandon Wilds- Shouldn't be too high but he did solid work in lattimore's absence. Deserves a top 30 rank.
Curtis McNeal- Top 10 guy rated @ 22. If usc is going to win the title, he's the key.
Malcom Brown- Not a top 10 back. I like him but guys like Cierre wood and Lavion Bell bell are better than him.

WR

Tavon Austin- Lighting up clemson has his stock at an all time high. That clemson defense was poor all season. Not a top 5 WR.
Josh Boyce- Nitpicking here, but should be top 5. Absolute man amongst boys. He's a beast.
Chris Harper- Never is going to see a large amount of passes but he's a top 20 guy.
Mitch Burrows- Top 30 WR

CB

Gabe Lynn- I'm a OU fan, but he's terrible. Not worth of a top 35 pick.

Bah, Denard Robinson is always overrated. Defenses cna reliably beat him by making him throw. He's just plain not a good passer. He's not at all comparable to a Vick or QB Eagles. He's more like a faster, smaller, weaker Tim Tebow with even worse throwing ability (or inclination even). Even a lot of Michigan fans hate the guy and are sick of seeing them try to trot him out as a QB (fall Saturdays on my Facebook feed are hilarious to read as Michigan fans groan at everything Denard does). Especially then when Hoke trots out a different QB for a play or two and defenses just pin their ears back and all come knowing it's a pass.

I'm a Spartan fan but even I agree on Maxwell that we really don't know what the kid can do yet. He's super smart (Academic All American twice now) and I believe he's involved in some athletic Christian ministry stuff so he's probably a low-maintenance guy on-campus... but his sample size is small and when he has played it's been clean-up duty against the Florida Atlantics of the world. I also don't know who the heck he's going to be throwing to either, IIRC MSU lost 3 of their best receivers that graduated along with Kirk Cousins. He has a tall task ahead of him.

Overrated...... depends on what expectation you have of Denard. If you expect him to drop back and be a 65% passer then yeah he's overrated. But thats not what his strength is.He's not a pro style QB, he's a spread option QB. Al Borges/Hoke needs to understand that. He's not Michael Vick, and he's a far better athlete than Tebow. Saying "Just make him throw" is easier said than done. Denard is 10x better than Gardner. He just needs to be used right. For the purpose of rating a rom (that doesn't include all 120 FBS teams), he's top 5.

I completely agree w/everything Primis said. Coincidence that it may be, that we are both Spartans has nothing to do w/it either. Gardner is a more complete product (or will prove to be once given the reigns), while Denard is a one trick pony. He projects to have zero future at QB in the NFL. Too bad for UM fans that Hoke has to stick to his promise to Denard that the position is his.

Figures I hear this from two spartan fans. Devin Gardner is not more complete than Denard (and wouldn't make a better starter). College games aren't won on NFL potential (ask Chuck Amato). Watch some an entire Michigan game and look at what happens when Gardner comes into the games. He doesn't read the defense at all. He just throws it to the 1st read, covered or not. If anything, he's a less explosive version of Robinson.

The spartans have had great game plans for Mich the past 2 years (won me some $$$ too) but this year will be much different. Denard will struggle vs Bama but have a huge SR. season.
