Just in time for Tecmo's 20th Anniversary!


When: Saturday, December 10th, 2011- 1:00PM EST until whenever.

Location: BREAK Bar & Billiards, 32-04b Broadway, Long Island City, NY 11106
(Approx. 15 minutes from Midtown Manhattan, Uptown N train to Broadway in Queens)

Equipment: We were promised two TVs at the bar, but if anyone wants to bring another (or a laptop with controllers, please feel free to do so). We will definitely need Nintendos, Controllers, and Carts! If you are able to bring any of these in working condition, please let us know what you can bring.

Format: Since this is a meetup, I would leave it open to playing a few pickup games at first. If we get enough people interested, we will do a mini-elimination tournament. I have a few ideas, but I am open to suggestions.

Who: This is open to anyone, whether you played in our October tournament or not. Both experienced and inexperienced players welcome. Spectators are welcome as well! E-mail nytecmo@tecmobowl.org if interested.

My bad dude for not getting this on the front page...how was the turnout?

Not great, but we had a couple of guys show up who were not able to make the October tourney. The owner is very cool about letting us use the space. I may ask to do something again in late winter/early spring, maybe with a little more incentive for people to come out.

Oh man, I live in Brooklyn and would kill for some local tecmo. When's the next one?

Might try to do something again in April, but not confirmed yet.

What part of Brooklyn? I think there is a bar out there that plays old school Nintendo games one night a week that I have been meaning to check out.
