So, here's a question to the assisting program coders:

It's been brought up a bunch using individual player stat sets from TSB to replace current player stats numbers. QBEagles finally made a ROM that did this. It works out pretty well for really trying to 'recreate' the original TSB feel. My question is, how hard would it be to write a small program that extracted stats from some source or another, and tabulated those NFL stats per player accounted for in a specific position (QB, RB, WR, etc.) and then assigned a set of stats from a TSB player to create a contemporary ROM?

A statistical generation program / stat extractor may be a bigger deal for the sake of formulas used, but this idea of assigning pre-defined stat sets from TSB to modern NFL players seems like it'd be a little easier for someone willing. Anyone willing?

I had started something like this before, and there was also a project dedicated to this. It never got anywhere though. I actually did this for my base RBI ROM...scrapes baseball reference and dumps stuff into a DB. Even allows you to set the lineups/rotations and whatnot.
