  2. Here is a list of SET commands you can use when editing Tecmo Super Bowl (28 and/or 32 team) with TSBTool. Please note that some of these commands can overlap in the game's code so use at your caution. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BACKUP BEFORE EDITING! Use the "Check SET commands setting values in the same location" option before saving in TSBTool. Some commands will be listed with URL's that attribute the hack to an author on this site while others have been verified by experienced editors on this site. Unverified commands mostly originate from an attachment found on this post by @adscl84. My hopes is that this list can eventually become a good resource for both the hardcore editors while also making an introduction to editing less intimidating for the casual fan who's starting to want to find out more. Please feel free to post and share in this thread if you'd like to add any commands or add verification or corrections. Please don't be late. Show up EARLIER than 11, so we can do last second adjustments, explain the rules, and get to playing right away. Entry Fee: $30. Payouts: $60 to the top newcomer. 3rd place gets their money back. $60 for 2nd place. Champ takes home the rest. Loser's bracket champion will once again have their choice of two prizes with the Loser's bracket runner-up getting the other. FORMAT Standard Madison Rules for all matchups. You may only call a certain matchup ONCE the entire day. There will be 5 rounds pitting two random participants vs each other. Names will be drawn out of a hat and pitted against each other. At the conclusion of 5 rounds, the 8 competitors with the best winning percentage will be put into a double-elimination bracket to decide the Portland Tecmo Champion. ALL GAMES in round 3 will be Dallas vs Phoenix: The JOHNNY FREAKIN JOHNSON round. The 1st tiebreaker will be opponent's winning percentage, the 2nd tiebreaker will be Tecmo NBA winning percentage and the 3rd tiebreaker will be combined Tecmo NBA and TSB score differential. (Don't worry if you can't hoop, The 2nd and 3rd tiebreak shouldn't be a factor, really) Cash prizes will be given out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and the Top Newcomer. The remaining competitors will be seeded into the loser's bracket to duke it out for their choice of a consolation prize. If you were in Seattle this September, it will be very similar in structure to that only this time- 1) If you are late, you take an L. Be there at 11 am or risk forfeit. Exceptions will be made if we took a while to get organized or there is a shortage of TVs and there were delays otherwise, but lets everyone try to be there and ready to play by 11 am! 2) Everyone will get at least 6 games. Last time a certain amount of losses booted you, but this time, you can keep rollin and fight for improved seeding. And also, there will be some action on the side- A March Madness style single elimination Tecmo NBA tournament. Seeded randomly, this will only be for a trophy and bragging rights. My wife and I were both meh about it. I want to vent and possibly have people talk about what they would do to hide and go "off the grid" with the understanding that you're being tracked by the best of the best team of human trackers. The rules of the game are simple. Basically, you are confined to a defined area covering parts of 4 states and if you don't get found after 28 days you win $250,000. The show aired last night for episode one and the regular night will be Wednesday night with episode two airing then. I'll stop here. I'm curious if anyone else saw it?

  12. File Name: Tecmo NBA Basketball 2016 File Submitter: Baron von Lector File Submitted: 15 Sep 2015 File Category: NES This ROM is based on the upcoming 2015-2016 NBA season. Using ESPN.com's depth charts, the rosters are accurate as of 9-15-15. Most of the work was done using Emuware's Tecmo NBA Manager, however, there were many aspects of the game that couldn't be changed using the editor. For this, I used FCEUX's hex editor and Tile Layer Pro. Using these additional tools, I was able to update team logos (Oklahoma City Thunder and Washington Wizards), remove obsolete hairstyles (mustaches, boxy flat-tops) and replace them with more current head accessories (long hair, headbands, and Jahlil Okafor's exploding afro), replace instances of "1991-92" with "2015-16", and other miscellaneous items. Along with roster updates, I (to the best of my knowledge) fixed the ratings to reflect the real-life counterparts. However, there is one small minor issue that doesn't affect gameplay, but can be annoying if you're all about 100% accuracy. There are some mercenaries in the game (Festus Ezeli, Mike Miller, Joey Dorsey, and Spencer Hawes) that try to ruin the simulation experience during season play. For some strange reason, these players, regardless of how I rate them (and they're relatively low-rated), end up leading the league in scoring with 30+ points-per-game every season. I don't know why this is. If you can ignore them, right underneath them will be Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and the rest of the NBA elite. Like I said, it's just a small detail issue. There are 27 teams in the game. Nashville, Toronto, and New Orleans were the three teams that were left out. Enjoy! Click here to download this file
  13. After the somewhat successful return of my All Time rom, i got a request to do a Genesis 2016-2017 rom. Naturally due to the limitations set upon the genesis version, it's impossible to do a 32 team rom. So i'm going to go with what i have and make this season with what teams are on here. I might do a second version replacing the Browns with the Ravens, but i'm on the fence at the moment. On a side note, if for some reason the Bills make the Super Bowl, i hope Carpenter does not miss a game winning field goal. Don't want a case of the Christie curse, lol

For instance, if Player A wins the toss and selects Packers-Browns, Player A cannot call that exact match-up for the rest of the tournament. Player B, however, is free to select that match-up later in the tournament. This also includes the popular "random match-up cards". SEE EACH ROUND FOR TEAM SELECTION IN THE FORMAT. 5. TIES: In order to speed things up in Rounds 1 thru 6 if game ends tied it will be a tie in order to save time. HOWEVER IN Single elimination round NO GAME CAN END IN A TIE. IF A game is tied when regulation concludes, competitors will proceed to OT. All OT's will be 5-minute sudden death periods. If nobody scores in the first OT, the second OT will be only the first quarter in a new game. If the game goes to an 2nd O.T. you will alternate who gets the ball first (in the second o.t.). This process will be repeated until a winner emerges. So that one competitor does not start with the ball in every OT period, the receiving team (i.e. team that gets the ball first) shall alternate beginning with the second OT period. 6.. Tournament Issues All issues will be settled by the tournament crew. Headed by Louis Buennagel, david Thompson. (Others will be designated by gameday as seconds for when we are playing.) Report controller issues and any other issues AS SOON AS IT HAPPENS. We will use the warm-up session to test all controllers and equipment so hopefully everything works fine. Game freeze will be settled by playing out part or all of the game depending on circumstance... unless you cause a reset by your physical actions. The final decision is up to the tournament directors or those designated by the directors. All equipment loaned for the tourney will be tracked. You may use your own controller if it is standard but do not move the other controller from that station. Respect all equipment as if it was yours. Excessive misbehavior will result in your elimination from the tourney and all future events. Then the 2 seed on down to 16. You roll with those teams the rest of the way until the Championship which will be a redux of the Redemption Round and Super Bowl XXV, Bills vs Giants.   20. All, Posted a new ROM of the original Tecmo Bowl with fixed playbooks and some other changes in the download section under NES - TECMO BOWL. It has some of the suggestion and what if's some of you have brought up in this forum in the past. They are listed below. Changes include: Corrected colors for players (i.e Bill Brooks, Reggie Roby, Joey Browner etc. are now black players in the game)Minnesota is now in a 4-3 defense as their positions showed they should have been.Minnesota reverse has been removed and replaced with Seattle Run 2, but from the I-Set.Play art for Minnesota Run 2 has been changed to Play art for Indianapolis Run 1.Washington reverse has been removed and replaced with Cleveland Run 2.Play art for Washington Run 2 has been changed to Play art for Cleveland Run 2.Los Angeles has a revamped playbook. File Name: Tecmo NCAA Basketball 2015 File Submitter: Baron von Lector File Submitted: 09 Nov 2015 File Category: NES This ROM is an edit of Tecmo NBA Basketball and is based on the 2014-15 NCAA Basketball season. With the 2015-16 season coming up, I chose to go with last season's rosters due to the fact that I wanted hard data to work with instead of speculative data. So, while there is no Ben Simmons in this ROM, there is plenty of Jahlil Okafor and Rakeem Christmas to go around. There are 27 teams included (see screenshots). To go along with the college rosters, I've edited all of the team logos and court logos. Play in the Carrier Dome! What I think makes this ROM special are the details that give it more of an NCAA-feel. Instead of playing in the NBA Playoffs, take your team through a 16-team March Madness tournament. Simdata had been adjusted so, again, the games feel more NCAA (80-70 games instead of 110-95). I've even included two All-American teams so you can play our own All-American All-Star Game. As a recommendation, set the season length to "Short" (26 games) to closely emulate the length of a typical 30-game NCAA season. There is only one downfall to this ROM that has to be mentioned, however. If you sim a season (with SKP), each team's #1 scorer will average over 60 points per game, while the rest of the team hovers at around 0.1. If anybody knows a fix to this, PLEASE, let me know. This was caused by using the Rabbit NBA Editor program. The workaround to this is by setting all of the teams' controls to COM (not yours) and letting the CPU battle it out. Most emulators have a speed control so you can set these games to 6400% and breeze them by. Enjoy! Click here to download this file
