Hey all. Im working on my yearly TFO Rom and last season I started to give away the prize of placing text on the Tecmo Blimp that appears at halftime. So since I have my notes and couldn't find this on the boards I wanted to post it for others... and so I won't lose it next season when I do this all again So I like to think of the Tecmo Blimp as having 2 Lines of 10 "Spots". These spots are filled in with 8x8 pixel images. There are 16 available characters to use in these spots (not counting spaces). You would need to go in and EDIT these with your own images/letters/characters to appear on the blimp and one could have MORE spots by doing some edits on their own but I stick with the 16 as I haven't had an issue with it. I know there is more "real estate" on the blimp that could be used but since it shares a pallet with the background clouds I just stick with the two 10 character lines. View File Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold This is Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold. I started working on this Legends-themed ROM back in March. I delayed the release of this ROM for the simple fact that around the time of the originally planned debut, a glut of other "Legends" ROMs burst onto the scene as well. So as not to (a) get lost in the shuffle or (b) take away from the spotlight of other modders, I pulled my work. This delay allowed me to fine-tune this ROM into what I would consider the "gold-standard" of Legends edits (hence, the "Gold" title) previously established by my past Convergence ROMs. Each team is comprised of the greatest players in franchise history, whether it's based on talent, records, or the impact they left on the team (Players like Tim Tebow and Kordell Stewart are included for the latter reasons). In addition to the team rosters, the All-Pro rosters have been edited to contain the greatest players in the history of the National Football League. I've combed over this ROM obsessively. View File SEC vs Big Ten Legends Welcome to the future. 2024 will introduce 16 teams for the Big Ten and 16 teams for the SEC, thus in the words of the media making 2 Super Conferences. First off, thank you to Baron Von Lector. This ROM is a variation of his hard work. If you haven't check out his other ROM hacks on his site. I tried Super Mario with SNES graphics, pretty cool. Next, since we don't know accurate rosters for 2024, I went ahead and created a LEGENDS edition. Best of the best for each school. Turned out to be much more difficult for teams like Rutgers and Vanderbilt haha. I like TSB3 so added a couple of features that are borrowed from there. Field is one color for simplicity and to fix a couple of minor field glitches with the original rom. Changed a lot of colors. There are 2 versions, neither are more or less difficult. If you wish to modify to amp the JUICE, there are plenty of articles on this site to help you do that. Basically, there is a VANILLA version with little to no hacks involved and one that I added a few hacks that I see as adding to the game. These hacks are: Add Hut to Pre-Snap Decrease Fumbles by 30% Various Special Teams Hacks (Directional Punts, kickoff locations moved, touchbacks moved, add touchbacks for kickoffs, wedge kickoff return) Remove Excess Diving by CPU. Makes it a lot more difficult if you can't just fake the CPU to get them to dive haha Player Controlled QB Rollout. Change Preseason music to use Pro Bowl values. I want to say thank you to everyone on this site who has contributed. I've had a LOT of fun playing these variations, especially the college ones (I find college to be more exciting than pro personally) and especially the SNES versions, I'm not there yet personally, but I admire what some can do. Wish we could get an NCAA TSB3 at some point, maybe I'll try to attack that next. Obviously there is talk of further expansion of these conferences, so at some point maybe I'll replace the lesser teams with newer additions if/when that happens. Also, perhaps the new Big 12 could play one of these conferences. All ideas I'm floating but want to see if this one goes over well or if it's not worth the trouble. I personally am enjoying playing this and feel like it's a solid idea, but I can't say for certain. If there are suggestions that you want to pass along, feel free, although please keep in mind I'm fairly new at this so bear with me. Was a lot of fun to do though. View File NCAA: TSB 2016 I have been sitting on this ROM for almost a year before finally releasing it. This is a collaborative effort between myself and Dave Murray. The ROM was originally finished at the end of the 2015-16 NCAA football season and is based on said season. Unless I missed anything, all instances of "NFL" have been removed from the game and replaced with NCAA logos, so that the game will have an authentic college football feel. There are 32-teams on the ROM, with each team having their own helmet art included on their team data screens (helmet art courtesy of Dave Murray). These lucky 32 teams are: Florida State Clemson Pittsburgh Miami Missouri Georgia South Carolina Florida Auburn Texas A&M Louisiana State Alabama Syracuse Louisville Virginia Tech Notre Dame Michigan Nebraska Ohio State Wisconsin Oklahoma Kansas State Baylor Oklahoma State Stanford South California UCLA Oregon Texas Iowa Michigan State Penn State The rosters and ratings were set at the end of the season so they would reflect performances throughout the season. Again, this ROM is a year old in terms of rosters. However, perhaps this ROM can set the groundwork as a base-ROM for future releases. Hi, anyone seen a good place with a comprehensive catalog of TSB ROM versions (different years, etc)? Might have someone mod a NES Classic Mini and want to pimp it with a good selection of TSB versions. --------------------------------- I've seen: 1) This url (TecmoBowl.org "ROMs by year") has a few options... 2) ... and TecmoSB.com (clicky) has a link for "TSB Roms Collection <=== last update: 11/16/2014." I haven't been able to open this one, but it appears to have so many ROMs, that some years have 5-10+ versions. --------------------------------- Figured by now, someone may have already edited a good catalog list somewhere. nbd if not.

Would it be possible to map the 'select' button to be used in nes tsb? For example, for cycle backwards through receivers?
