  1. Hey everyone TecmoSuperFan here i figured that since everyone was already working on a 2013 rom for the NES i'd do one for the Sega Genesis. i moved Cleveland to Baltimore and the Rams to Saint Louis, just havent figured out how to edit the unis and helmet logos yet If you spot any problems or anything, let me know. I'll make sure to edit any mistakes
  2. File Name: Tecmo NCAA Basketball 2015 File Submitter: Baron von Lector File Submitted: 09 Nov 2015 File Category: NES This ROM is an edit of Tecmo NBA Basketball and is based on the 2014-15 NCAA Basketball season. With the 2015-16 season coming up, I chose to go with last season's rosters due to the fact that I wanted hard data to work with instead of speculative data. So, while there is no Ben Simmons in this ROM, there is plenty of Jahlil Okafor and Rakeem Christmas to go around. There are 27 teams included (see screenshots). To go along with the college rosters, I've edited all of the team logos and court logos. Play in the Carrier Dome! What I think makes this ROM special are the details that give it more of an NCAA-feel. Instead of playing in the NBA Playoffs, take your team through a 16-team March Madness tournament. Simdata had been adjusted so, again, the games feel more NCAA (80-70 games instead of 110-95). I've even included two All-American teams so you can play our own All-American All-Star Game. As a recommendation, set the season length to "Short" (26 games) to closely emulate the length of a typical 30-game NCAA season. There is only one downfall to this ROM that has to be mentioned, however. If you sim a season (with SKP), each team's #1 scorer will average over 60 points per game, while the rest of the team hovers at around 0.1. If anybody knows a fix to this, PLEASE, let me know. This was caused by using the Rabbit NBA Editor program. The workaround to this is by setting all of the teams' controls to COM (not yours) and letting the CPU battle it out. Most emulators have a speed control so you can set these games to 6400% and breeze them by. Enjoy! Click here to download this file
  3. File Name: Tecmo NBA Basketball 2016 File Submitter: Baron von Lector File Submitted: 15 Sep 2015 File Category: NES This ROM is based on the upcoming 2015-2016 NBA season. Using ESPN.com's depth charts, the rosters are accurate as of 9-15-15. Most of the work was done using Emuware's Tecmo NBA Manager, however, there were many aspects of the game that couldn't be changed using the editor. For this, I used FCEUX's hex editor and Tile Layer Pro. Using these additional tools, I was able to update team logos (Oklahoma City Thunder and Washington Wizards), remove obsolete hairstyles (mustaches, boxy flat-tops) and replace them with more current head accessories (long hair, headbands, and Jahlil Okafor's exploding afro), replace instances of "1991-92" with "2015-16", and other miscellaneous items. Along with roster updates, I (to the best of my knowledge) fixed the ratings to reflect the real-life counterparts. However, there is one small minor issue that doesn't affect gameplay, but can be annoying if you're all about 100% accuracy. There are some mercenaries in the game (Festus Ezeli, Mike Miller, Joey Dorsey, and Spencer Hawes) that try to ruin the simulation experience during season play. For some strange reason, these players, regardless of how I rate them (and they're relatively low-rated), end up leading the league in scoring with 30+ points-per-game every season. I don't know why this is. If you can ignore them, right underneath them will be Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, and the rest of the NBA elite. Like I said, it's just a small detail issue. There are 27 teams in the game. Nashville, Toronto, and New Orleans were the three teams that were left out. Enjoy! Click here to download this file
  4. TSB NCAA14 I'm happy that College Football finally embraced the playoff format even if it's only 4 teams. I think 8 will be ideal and it seems to be coming soon with the money it would generate. In the rom, if you want to re-live the 2014 season then you can just play through Week17 and be done. If you prefer to have the end of season bracket like I do then go for it as I left it in. In the schedule, I also tried to add some of the non-conference games that happened in the real season and some of the previous years' bowl games. Schedule: 12 games each Week 13 Rival Week & Army-Navy Game Week 14 Conference Championships Week 15 Bowl Games Week 16 College Football Playoff (Florida State vs Oregon / Ohio State vs Alabama) Week 17 College Football Championship (Ohio State vs Oregon) Features: Team Rankings (not perfect but close) on each of their helmets. I stink at doing helmets so I came up with an idea and Proads26 made it a reality for me. My teams were ranked very close to the USA Today Coaches Poll right after the National Championship. I used bruddog's thread ranking the teams for MAN games as I make roms to play with my friends head to head. I also used some info from Mort's Top20 Matchups thread to make rival games that would be good MAN vs MAN games. My friend and I tried to match the NCAA14 team with a team either similarly ranked from TSB or that had similar roster profile. No, it's not perfect but it's easier than rating every player and I don't have the patience or free time for that type of work. I used a random name generator to do the rosters but then decided to name the QB, RB, WR, TE and a few on defense. Rivalscom and Espncom Stats were used for depth charts and/or the names of the players that played the most. Feel free to open the rom in Tool and fix your team. 6. Does anyone know if you can change the color of the defensive players name at the top of the screen. I would like to change the color to represent the better players on defense. I am currently working on a ROM hack for a particular season on the Original Tecmo Bowl and the players statistics that display on the Original Tecmo Bowl don't always depict how good they were that season. Rather than change the shown statistic (i.e Sacks, Int) I was thinking if it was possible of making the players names display in GOLD that were ALL PRO that year, and GREEN if they were PRO BOWLERS. That way you could easily identify the better defensive players as you cycle through them.
  7. My appologies if this has been covered before. I am new to these forums but have known about the site for some time. Recently I have discovered an app for my droid phone that allows me to play NES games. When I saw Tecmo Bowl I had to get it. Then I saw all the ROM hacks that people have made and it inspired me to try my first Original Tecmo Bowl ROM Hack. I have been able to do most of it with Emuware's manager, some insight from the prior posts on this forum, and some trial and error on my part. My question for anyone who is capable of answering it is where do I find the defensive assignments for any play but specifically: Miami Pass 1 Miami Pass 2 Denver Pass 2 Dallas Pass 2 and what do they mean. My specific problem is I have swapped out plays for the Miami Playbook. Put in Denver's Pass 2 for Miami's Pass 1 and Dallas's Pass 2 for Miami's pass 2. I have changed the Blitz bytes and the play art for these plays and they work perfectly against 3-4 teams but against 4-3 teams the bottom DB travels to the top of the screen and covers the TE instead of the TOLB and leaves the slot receiver on the bottom (RB is the 3rd receiver in the bottom slot) wide open. This creates problems in two areas. The TOLB is not doing what he needs to against a shotgun formation and either is the bottom DB. My thinking is that if I knew the defensive assignments for the Denver Pass 2 and Dallas Pass 2 then I could copy them into the place where Miami Pass 1 and Miami Pass 2 were and hopefully that would do it, but I have been unsuccessful thus far. I have tried the example from xplozv: "The Def play pointers seem to begin at x1A810. The second byte in the pointers above are the actual defensive play numbers. For example, the blitz byte pointer "06 03", "03" is the defensive play number. To get to the defensive play instructions you must do the following in hex: 03 * 12 + 1A810 = x1A846 That would be the location of def play #03 pointers. You will find these pointers: 3D B1 8C AD 50 B1 63 B1 76 B1 89 B1 94 B1 A7 B1 C2 B1 Take each pointer such as "3D B1", swap the bytes to get "B13D", add x10 in hex to get "B14D", now finally add a "1" in front of it to get "x1B14D". That is where that particular player instructions are located." I am a bit confused when the 2nd play byte is 0E or 2F on how to multiply that by 12 and add it to 1A810 to find the defensive assignments. Sorry for the lengthy post, hopefully someone can help me.

  10. It is TIME for another season of the most talk about Tecmo Owner's League!! That is right; TECMO FANTASY OWNERS!!! Last season I had a dream... I wanted to make my OWN Nintendo game. But I am limited in my skills, and I want others to enjoy my work, so I decided to hack TSB and create my OWN football league. Last season 24 owners submitted RPG like forms (with salary caps) and created and designed their own teams. Players, Playbooks, Colors, and even the Logo itself!!!! Owners had full range to create what they wanted. And then, instead of just releasing the .NES Rom, we instead hosted the WHOLE DANG SEASON on YouTube and off our TFO Website (http://tfofootball.weebly.com). Last season the Westeros Guardians were able to defeat the Cleveland Steamers in an amazing matchup for the TFO Championship (Season 1 Trophy was the Shiva Bowl). We could have stopped their, I could have just smiled and moved on, but TFO is bigger then me and the owners DEMANDED another season! Season Two will be bigger and better then ever! Now with 28 Teams, an entire 17 week schedule, and 5 weeks of Playoffs makes this the biggest season EVER (22 weeks). We will also be posting TWO Commentary games each week (Thursday Night Football and Sunday Night Football) along with non-Commentary games released on Sunday Afternoon, and our Pre-Weekly show TFO SportsCast! Do you like Tecmo? Then you will LOVE TFO! Who will be the Season Two TFO Champion? Who will take the Ifrit Bowl? Who will be imortal?!?!?!?! KICKOFF IS FEB 6th 2014!!!!!! Join us either here, or on our website, as we start our 22 week odyssey to crown the next TFO Champion!!!!!! And once the season is over we will be releasing the ROM file RIGHT HERE on Tecmobowl.org!!!!!!!!! SEE YOU NEXT TECMO!!!!!!! DOWNLOAD TFO FOOTBALL 2013 WHILE WAITING FOR THE 2014 SEASON TO START
  11. November 15, 2014 With summer giving way to Tecmo season, it's time to gather the best foursome you can Muster. November 15, 2014 is the date of the 2014 Tecmo Ryder Cup. Taking place in Fargo, ND and the surrounding area, you never know what's around the corner. Many of you probably thought - and perhaps hoped - that our usurpation of the Ryder Cup hosting rights would be idle talk or more accurately, drunken banter. But somehow, someway, we were given the rights to the Ryder Cup, and the plan is not to disappoint. Light on boredom, but heavy on Butt Douglas (hey, Butt, you have to show up), we have some ideas in the works that will make this worth your trip. North Dakota has never been known as a threat to win a tournament, but we've generally been to known to have a good time at them, and we're ready to return the favor to all of you. Call Dotdon, tweet @PlazaToilets, and summon Murray and Orenga from the bathroom, because this is going to be a really good time. I promise. We don't lie. Usually. More info to come very soon about schedule, game types, lodging and how much booze will be there for the imbibing. In the meantime, we wanted to get this back on your radar, and hope that as many as possible will come to join us for the third and we promise (really), the best Ryder Cup yet. Peace, love, and Norwood. For information, please contact either: Joey Schmit (AKA Dr. Frolf) -- 701-367-2905 -- [email protected] -- @frolfware Neil Roesler (AKA Leonardite) -- 701-261-4892 -- [email protected] -- @leonardite The Tecmoers of the Dakotas have united and deemed an appropriate sequence of events for the Ryder Cup. Almost all of the rules will be reminiscent of the previous Ryder Cups, but there will be one Doubles Session that will be flipped. Madison rules will be used in all sessions, doubles and singles, except for the "North Dakota Rules" Tag Team Session. Firmly tentative details and schedule are as follows (schedule subject to change): * Teams should be compromised of 4 players * $100 entry fee per team ($25 per player) 11:00 -- Players picked up at host hotel in Fargo (yet to be determined) for transportation to Leonard, ND 11:30 -- If you are planning on driving out to Davenport (90 1st Ave, Davenport, ND 58021), meet there at this time 11:45 -- Arrive at the Leonard Country Club (5274 153rd Ave SE, Leonard, ND 58052), home to the team rounds of the competition. 12:00-4:00ish -- Team Rounds as follows: Doubles Session I: 2 Quarters Per Man: In this session, each partner must play 2 quarters, although it does not matter which two quarters. Doubles Session 2: Strictly Offense/Defense: In this session, one partner will play only offense while the other handles strictly defense. Singles Session1: Each participant in the Tecmo Ryder Cup will play 3 singles Matches. He nonetheless cannot play more than one Match against the same team/region. For instance, each member of Team Madison will play someone from Minnesota, someone from North Dakota, and someone from Neenah. Each participant must also play at least one Match in each of the two singles sessions. 4:30ish -- Players transported to Davenport, ND for the final destination games, the singles competition 4:30ish - 4:55 -- Recap team events, drink, regain composure for singles 5:00 - 7:30 -- Singles Sessions as follows: Tag Team Session: North Dakota Rules: In this session, all players from the team will play 1 quarter of the game, although it can be done in any order on the fly. North Dakota Rules are as follows: No changing playbooks. Everything else is fair game: lurching, any player at any position, etc. Basically once you are playing the game, all options are available. Each team will play all other teams one time in a round-robin style. Singles Session 2: Each participant in the Tecmo Ryder Cup will play 3 singles Matches. He nonetheless cannot play more than one Match against the same team/region. For instance, each member of Team Madison will play someone from Minnesota, someone from North Dakota, and someone from Neenah. Each participant must also play at least one Match in each of the two singles sessions. 7:30-7:45 -- Results tabulated 7:45 - 8:00 -- Ryder Cup Champions Honored 8:00 - ??? --- House Party Time.
